Meet America's New Ebola Czar
Zero Hedge ^ | 10/17/2014 | Tyler Durden

Forget medical experience, what the USA needs to combat the worst Ebola pandemic ever is "an American lawyer and political operative best known for serving as Chief of Staff to two Vice Presidents - Al Gore (1995–1999) and Joseph Biden (2009–2011)."

Ronald A. "Ron" Klain is an American lawyer and political operative best known for serving as Chief of Staff to two Vice Presidents - Al Gore (1995–1999) and Joseph Biden (2009–2011). He is an influential Democratic Party insider. Earlier in his career, he was a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Byron White during the Court's 1987 and 1988 Terms and worked on Capitol Hill, where he was Chief Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination. He was portrayed by Kevin Spacey in the HBO film Recount depicting the tumult of the 2000 presidential election.

Lobbying Klain helped Fannie Mae overcome "regulatory issues".

Klain apparently signed off on President Obama's support of a $535 million loan guarantee for now-defunct solar-panel company Solyndra.

Clinton administration Klain joined the Clinton-Gore campaign in 1992. He ultimately was involved in both of Bill Clinton's campaigns, oversaw Clinton's judicial nominations, and was General Counsel to Al Gore's recount committee in the 2000 election aftermath. Some published reports have given him credit for Clinton's "100,000 cops" proposal during the 1992 campaign; at a minimum, he worked closely with Clinton aide Bruce Reed in formulating it. In the White House, he was Associate Counsel to the President, directing judicial selection efforts, and led the team that won confirmation of Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Conservatives should be careful what they ask for: as a "czar" in charge of messaging about ebola, a medical doctor who makes some mistakes in communication is far superior to a political hack who was trained as a lawyer.

"If the present Congress errs in too much talking, how can it be otherwise in a body to which the people send one hundred and fifty lawyers, whose trade it is to question everything, yield nothing, and talk by the hour?" - Thomas Jefferson More Thomas Jefferson quotes

Just taking full advantage of a crisis, there’s money to be made. He helped democrats make money from Solyndra ande that’s nothing compared to what can be made from ebola, What happened to the NIH lady that is in charge of vvaccines, the one who held everythingt up while trying to nget it frunneled through a democrat donor instead of a company that had the one that worked. This administration makes the Grant administration appear to be as pure as new snow.

So ebola will be all about spinning to the administration? That’s all this clown does is spin.

They must be expecting the need for someone experienced in funneling stripped out cash to rat slush funds. This is made to order for the "spare no expense" message.

Please call congress and tell them that we must be deadly serious about containing Ebola by strict quarantine within the United States and from infected nations. This is our right and it is our duty.

Capitol switchboard is 202-224-3121.

Ebola is being spread here in the United States right now. First Texas, then Ohio then? Terror is an excellent weapon. It disrupts, confuses, paralyzes and destroys a society. Many others and we on FR have speculated that terrorists may spread Ebola. How do you that remember 9/11 feel right now compared to what you felt then? Do you want to gather your loved ones near you to protect them? I do. Even more than I did on September 11, 2001! Isn’t this passive response by this administration accomplishing the very same things a terrorist would want?

When something is being done that makes as little sense as what Obama is doing there has to be some other reason. I leave it to you dear reader to draw your own conclusions as to the reasons.

What is happening now is insane. It makes no sense at all. For example the head of CDC says: “Stopping travel from Africa won’t do any good because you have to get people into Africa to fight Ebola.” “You can’t get Ebola from an infected person on a bus but an infected person should never be on a bus because he can infect others.” “Blocking travel from infected countries would damage their fragile economies.” What about ours? You’ve seen the stock market these last few days.

Even the most despotic dictatorship in Africa has acted to protect his nation by strict quarantine and stopping travel from infected countries. Even CDC, the UN and WHO advocate and credit strict quarantine for nipping the spread of Ebola in the bud at the source in places like Senegal and Nigeria where both have had faster and more successful outbreak controls than we have had here. 35 countries have stopped travel of people from infected West African countries. It is so obvious even a child could understand it so why is it OK for people from infected countries to travel here?

I will post this message and keep posting it until someone stops me.

Are you throwing up profusely, do you have a fever over 101.4, do you have blood running out of every orifice? Then call the law office of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe.
We can recover millions for your family since you will be dead in a few days.

Read in a European newspaper that ebola could be a means of population control.

The only population that is increasing in Europe is the Muslims. Most countries are not reproducing fast enough to replace the dying.

I just heard this is also the guy who approved Solyndra. I presume his job will be to spin, catch flack, and funnel any money spent on Ebola to Democrat donors.

Catch this on Klain's Wikipedia page before the editors remove it:

Lobbying

Klain helped Fannie Mae overcome "regulatory issues". Lobbying on "regulatory issues concerning Fannie Mae" in 2004, as disclosure forms indicate Klain did, involved convincing Congress and Fannie Mae's regulators that Fannie Mae wasn't doing anything dangerous, and wasn't exposing taxpayers to risk. In other words, Ron Klain got paid to help fuel the housing bubble up until a couple of years before it popped.

No, the population in the US is growing. Partially due to illegal aliens.

Then, he knows Biden's big secret, that he carries with him two cell phones, one to receive his wife's calls and another for all his girlfriends.

Yep, Klain has proved he can keep a secret when it comes to his boss's sex life - probably the biggest prereq for his new job.
