Since you're from the area, GeronL, I'll "go there" with a very un-PC question and statement. Do you remember the time when the Dallas-Ft. Worth area was still mostly white? Even Irving (close to where you are I believe), not all that long ago, was a nice suburb, middle to upper-middle class. Now it's dominated by Mexicans. Dallas itself, north of the Trinity River, didn't have that many holderites either. When I moved here in the early 80s, standard English was nearly universally spoken. Doctors and nurses at the hospitals were nearly all native-born Americans, not illegals or foreign types, recently immigrated.

Sadly, I hardly recognize this region anymore. I live some 50 miles north of what's now become the Detroit of the Southwest (Dallas). Even this far away, all I see at the community park is brown and black. The only whites I see anymore are elderly people like me sitting on the benches without any children. I can barely remember the last time I saw a white child there...maybe 7 or 8 years ago.

That's proof that DemonRATs ruin everything and they've got Texas in their sites. Am I right or do you think I exaggerate?
