Eight New York Hospitals Designated to Treat Ebola Patients

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Thursday that eight hospitals in New York state will provide specialized care should any Ebola cases be identified in the state.

The hospitals include Mount Sinai Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Bellevue Hospital Center, Montefiore Medical Center, North Shore-LIJ Health System, SUNY Upstate Medical University at Syracuse, University of Rochester Medical Center and Stony Brook University Hospital.

Mr. Cuomo said police, airport workers, hospital workers and Metropolitan Transportation Authority employees are also being trained to identify Ebola symptoms.

We should NOT be using existing hospitals for ebola isolation and treatment. Separate facilities are needed to keep ebola away from patients and healthcare workers so normal medical services can be delivered.

Agreed. All you need is an abandoned warehouse or something that still has utility services. Temporary interior walls can be put up quickly. Patients could be segregated by physical separation depending on manifest symptoms and test results. The whole building would be quarantined by armed guards.

Ebola is effecting the stock markets, airlines, hospitals, doctor visits, and even thru your head when you grab the cart handle in the grocery store. Ebola is about another 100 cases from complete social chaos.

Barry wants commercial airlines to continue importing ebola. For this to get out of hand it will take just one infected person to take a few rides on a crowded NYC subway to create an uncontrolled outbreak.
