Updated: Lubbock police confirm a man was placed in medical isolation at University Medical Center and that he recently traveled to the Ivory Coast in Africa.
UMC spokesman Eric Finely said concerns about Ebola contributed to the patient being placed in isolation. Police near a quarantined house in East Lubbock say the man was complaining of flu-like symptoms.

Much easier problem if we can delete this lone from future stories, eh?

Free tickets to the U.S.A. To a place called Texas!
Am I the only person in the U.S. who hasn’t been to west Africa in the last month?
Ivory Coast has no cases as they closed their borders. It would surprise me very much if this is Ebola if Ivory Coast is the only place this patient went to.
So the question would be if they somehow had gotten ebola, were there other ways they could have contracted it? The airline? Stopovers?

Funny question. I would think if anyone on FR is inclined to visit Africa they are smart enough to realize they shouldn’t come back. Not only has no one in our family been to Africa, none of us have a hankering to go.
We also no longer need to go to Mexico, we can just visit any shopping area in Texas, all things China are available at our nearest Wal-Mart and all diseases we would never ever want to have are also available in Texas. Just no need to go anywhere.
Most of these people seemingly went to Africa to help out the impoverished. One of the victims was from Billy Graham’s son’s charity, Samaritan’s Purse. I would urge you to become a Christian though the downside is sometimes you do need to help out your neighbor.
I haven’t even left NC!
Obama’s Ebola Russian Roulette is like playing with all but one cylinder loaded..............
No Ebola according to the link now. Another false alarm.
I am a Christian and am familiar with Samaritan’s Purse. We have plenty of people in our own church and community which need help and should be taken care of first.
