Officials and campus cops at Southern Oregon University threatened to call the police on a group of four students who were distributing copies of the U.S. Constitution outside the designated free speech zone last week.
The Constitution kerfuffle occurred last Tuesday at the obscure public school in the middle of nowhere, Campus Reform reports.
The students, all affiliated with Students for Concealed Carry, ironically were also gathering signatures for a petition to end the taxpayer-funded schools restrictive speech policies.
Administrators and school police officers didnt like it. The four students say they were followed by bureaucrats and cops and threatened with punishment.

Robitz also explained that allowing free speech under the First Amendment would likely lead to more free speech, which he and his fellow bureaucrats might not be able to cope with.
When you open it up to free speech that means anyone, anywhere can come on here and do that and that might create some other challenges for this campus that were not prepared to manage, he can be heard advising the students.

They are fascists.
Someone needs to inform Mr. Robitz that the entirety of the United States is a free speech zone.
Free speech scares the hell out of anyone who wants to suppress a truth. That’s why it’s so important is because the absence of free speech is required to facilitate a culture of lies.
Never grasped why that exact lawsuit has not occured.
These fascist “educators” have their heads in dark places.
Big time.
When the Constitution itself is controversial, we’re in big trouble.
Handing out the Constitution in the United States of America should be no more controversial than handing out bibles in a church.
Can we no longer hand out the Constitution in public schools because it might offend someone?
Wasn’t the excuse for “free speech zones” that fliers that were likely to be discarded would be easier to clean up if they were limited to a specific area?
Just listening to the phrase “free speech zone” disturbs me. Their desire to create such zones (other than the entire country) proves that our enemies are evil, and that evil holds a great deal of power on campuses.
Exactly! There is no such thing as a “Free Speech Zone!”
Establishing a “zone” is a restriction of free speech.
Those who do not agree with the pamphlet being distributed do not have to accept it. Walk on. Don’t like the porn on TV? Change the channel. Walk on. Simple as that.
The “educators” are power mad jerks who do not care about the Constitution.
