The witness said Wilson didn't have to kill Brown and that "[w]hat transpired to us, in my eyesight, was murder. Down outright murder.” That's a layman's conclusion.

However, the witness said it went down like this (summarizing from the article):

• There was a 'tussel' in the police car;
• There was a gunshot'
• Brown began to run, followed by Wilson;
• Wilson, aimed his gun and yelled "Stop! Stop! Stop!
• Brown stopped, said something, then took a step toward Wilson;
• Wilson told Brown to stop again, and when Brown didn't, Wilson fired three (3) shots;
• Brown staggered, looked down, made the arm/hand gesture, and kept coming at Wilson;
• Wilson said "Stop" and took a few steps back;
• Brown kept coming, staggering;
• Wilson fired four more shots and as he did, Brown was falling down.

So, Brown came at Wilson three times after being told to stop, and one time after being shot (yes, Brown could have been staggering after first being shot).

The witness said "it went from zero to 100 like that, in the blink of an eye." Brown kept coming, in the blink of an eye.

How many times should Wilson backed up and yelled Stop!?

The cop did exactly what he should have. My only point was that the original article didn’t say what the one posted did.

I don’t see that witness helping Wilson, unlike what WJ was saying in their story.
