The day begins as we converge in North Texas to once again celebrate the life of Texas Cowboy in the fashion he would want us to have fun together.
We can do that.
It was in the news a couple years back, some dude holed up in a trailer and held off the cops for a while.
Maybe I can find a link.
Where did Elroy live?
Well.. he had a place out in the country that we closed up & moved out when he became ill...
He stayed some in California with relatives too.
I think he had another place too but I could be mistaken.
Huzzah!
I don’t think they have a particularly nice favor.
Serranos arew king with me, or Hungarian wax peppers.

These are excellent and what most Italian I know use.
He lived in Katy. He sold his house, bought the place in the country and became ill all within a few months of each other.
That was quick.
Hap and I would like to volunteer for the recon trip.
Let’s all check our calendars so we can make a day of it. Only day not good for us is Nov. 1.
There used to be a shooting range on the west end of Galveston Island. there was an inlet from West Bay beside it and you could fish, crab and shoot at the same time. It is probably gone now, that was many years ago.
Serranos are a mandatory ingredient for chili. Never tried wax peppers. Will have to look for some of those. I’ve heard they’re similar to banana peppers, which are awesome.
Thanks for the link! Sounds like its within my heat zone. I’ll have to add them to the garden next spring.
My weekends are clear for the next month.
NYTexan, sorry I forgot to include you when thanking TheMom and MyLife for the organization, etc. You were so busy with everything, I didn’t get a chance to say hi.
So, a great big Thank You for all your hard work.
Are you still in DFW area? Windflier and some others want to get North Texas FReepers together for maybe another Shoot in Novermber.
I am in DFW area.
Glad y’all made it home safely. Hope you can come to another TCMS. It was an honor to have you come to our Shoot and participate.
WOW - what a pretty pair of rifles.
We should get a picture of all the lever action rifles and their owners at the next shoot.
Maybe we could start a friendly annual lever action rifle shooting competition with official targets at various distances - winner gets braggin’ rights for a year, lol.
Leaving it up to the organizers to decide.
;^D
