Migrant workers continually move from harvest to harvest for different crops. When there is nothing to harvest, they return to Mexico (or wherever), and start over next season. Slaves stayed in one place. They didn't go back to Africa in between cotton-picking seasons. But they were cared-for year-round. Migrant workers should have it so good.
Poverty is a state of mind. If every single black American was given $50,000 then what? Would that mean we cancel ALL welfare payments to the black community finally? Would lifelong, generations long, welfare recipients give up all their freebies for a one time payment?
I have rented my house out to welfare recipients. They were paid WAY more than $50,000 per year in government handouts they never had to pay back. The rent, utilities, medical care, and food were all paid for by us taxpayers.
Anyone who is on welfare will be on welfare in a couple months even if they get a $50,000 check.
