Reparations will amount to a transfer of wealth from the more powerful to the more powerless. This is the closest approximation of justice that I would imagine is possible.
We will now engage in some purposely simplified back-of-the-envelope math. Imagine a nationwide, one-time infusion of wealth to those who live at the lower end of America's economic pyramid. Let's take as our starting point that Black households have roughly 60% of the income and 5% of the wealth that White households do. (Hispanic households have just a tiny bit more wealth than Black households. Median household net worth is about $81,000. Average household net worth, which is swelled by the fortunes at the top, is $535,000.) For the sake of argument, let's be exceedingly modest in our goals: let's imagine giving an amount of money that would give the average Black household at least more than half of the wealth of the average White household. We can calculate this very neatly: if Black households have 5% of White net worth now, let's add 50% to that, giving the average Black household 55% the net worth of the average White household, which is something north of $110,000. Sticking with our neat, clean, and modest estimate here, let's round half of that down to $50,000.
Fifty thousand dollars per household. This would be enough in theory to raise the average Black household to at least half of what the average White household has in wealth....

Never mind not being slaves; millions of the recipients have never worked a day in their lives, and have made it clear they never will. Many recipients have no job skills to offer at all.
What will collapse the system is the number of whites and Hispanics who realize they can retire without ever working as teens (if they’ll just pop out a golden-ticket welfare bastard). The poverty industry loves the jobs (keeps the classrooms and police precincts populated), but the money is gone.

Moreover, if his rationalizations “make sense”, it would make more sense to begin at the beginning of slavery and make reparations to all people alive today whose ancestors of whatever skin color were used as slaves. According to history, slavery appears to have begun during the reign of Nimrod. As is commonly agreed-upon, Nimrod’s skin color was black, making black-skinned people, not white-skinned people, the first slave-holders. This means that reparations should logically begin with black-skinned people before moving to people of other skin colors.
Would like to know who in Congress has proposed, or intends to propose, legislation to fund payment of “reparations”.
Reparations came in the form of the Civil War, and atop that, trillion$ in welfare and other government gifts to the lazy.
I can’t remember who said this about reparations (Rush?) but, someone said blacks can’t accept reparations because then they would be made whole and forever lose their victim status.

Silly nigro, if you still in Africa you would be dirt poor, living in a grass shack, starving, have AIDS, Ebola, and probably would be eaten by a crocodile as you went to the river for water. The cultural reparations you owe the white man is vastly greater than anything you think you are owed.
They’d piss it away in a couple of years. And those would be savings that took many years to save.
The only kind of slavery reparation that would make any sense would be a first class, one way airplane ticket to Africa.
“Poor” is a problem between the ears, not in the bank account. You swell the bank account of a poor person (any color/ethnicity) and as quickly as possible they will get rid of that money and have to beg to finish out the month.
They’ll buy jewelry, hairdos, new patio furniture, prepared food, etc. with no concept of management or future (next week) needs.
I’ve seen it over and over again, and consistently.
It makes no difference how much money you throw at poor people. You have to MAKE them fish, with the option of starving.
All of it.
subtract the price of freedom from any reparations and get back to me.
