A Sensible Strategy to Curtail Ebola in US
4 Your Country ^ | 10/15/2014 | 4YourCountry

....the outbreak grows in the US, perhaps we could apply some of the old lessons (common Sense) from west Africa with a bit of modern thinking:

1) If someone is exposed, insist they stay home for the period of incubation - no questions asked. Track their cell phone.

2) If someone feels sick, don't go to the hospital, call a central national health line or answer an online computer assessment form. Been to Liberia recently? We will connect you with a trained nurse.

3) If they appear sick, dispatch a trained and protected team to their home. Take blood sample, drop off gowns and some MREs. Insist they stay in place. Wait for test results.

4) If test is positive, bring them to a central health facility properly setup to deal with Ebola.

5) Bring in care workers from Africa that already have had Ebola/carry the anti-body

Step 1 should be

Enforce a travel ban on anyone who has been to an epidemic area within 30 days.

If we don’t stpo new cases from entering the U.S. this problem will continue to grow.

I'm all in with anything that doesn't hurt "da conomies" of West Africa. The commie lib potheads and meth heads are already running TV ads blaming the dead people in West Africa on the Republicans saying "Cut! Cut! Cut!" all the time.

From Obama’s little speech tonight I got the overwhelming feeling that his priority number one was looking out for Africa and making sure that those people got help. Not much else seems to be on his radar screen.

No.

Step #1 - Impeach and arrest Obola

Nothing will work without step #1

My view is this: Ebola cannot spiral out of control quite fast enough to really cause the overthrow of American society the way Obama would like. Therefore, he will intentionally handle the situation in an explicitly incorrect manner, causing panic, anger, and confusion. He’s pushing for a revolt, either from the military, from congress, or armed mobs. He will declare martial law in 2014. The Republicans elected in November will not be seated.

The disease itself will not necessarily have a devastating effect – but the disease will allow Obama to end America as a world power.

NOTE: Neither martial law or civil war have to result in a viable dictatorship and the declaration of Muslim supremacy in the United States – that does not have to be Obama’s winning strategy. He can lose. He can die. I don’t think he cares. All he needs to do is cause a complete breakdown. Civil War will be the breakdown. The winner of the war is inconsequential – America will never be capable of propping up the West again, and the Caliphate will become firmly established in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe (Spain).

I think this will happen very quickly.

"5) Bring in care workers from Africa that already have had Ebola/carry the anti-body"

That would work well with travel from Africa outlawed. And while we're at it, we should seal the borders of Texas and other states that are Ebola-affected areas.

[You're welcome. Always glad to add more common sense to the hysterical ranting and raving in politics. Don't forget to run for your lives.]

Clorox Bleach Germicidal Wipes

AND

A specific controlled route of flight from Africa to the USA:

Better than what the Obama Administration has implemented:

1) pigeon hole the VISA's

2) establish a clinic in Africa, near an airport, where all outbound - to - the - USA fliers must enter and be processed

3) establish a set route using charter flights only between Africa (that clinic -and- airport) and the USA --- ie, if you want to fly to the USA, and you are from Africa and/or your VISA and/or passport place you as "from Africa" ... you have to adhere to (1), (2), and this, (3) ... or you cannot board the flight to the USA.

And, in general, there is a gross failure to make clear, the importance of personal hygiene, and that henceforth, you must not casually touch your head, anywhere without first washing your hands.

What we need, as much as a cure, is A RELIABLE QUICK-TEST FOR EBOLA.

The thing that scare the heck out of me is that Ebola never really goes away. It hides out for a while and occasionally comes out of hiding to say hello. Now that it’s here, it’s here permanently. They can stop it “dead in its track” but it’ll be back. This is just the beginning. JMO.

2) If someone feels sick, don’t go to the hospital, go instead to observe a session of Congress, and then visit the White House.

We shall see. Certainly Bubonic plague (a bacillus, not a virus) does that. Plague ravaged Europe periodically for centuries. It is endemic in the marmot population of Central Asia, and broke out of that reservoir as trade routes shifted periodically. Plague is now endemic in our own Southwest (prairie dogs) -- but has become manageable with anti-biotics.

In Africa, bats are a reservoir for Ebola. If it gets into our animal population, like rabies, it could indeed become a periodic scourge.

I'm not sure that risk is really high, but it seems be greater than zero probability.

“What we need, as much as a cure, is A RELIABLE QUICK-TEST FOR EBOLA. “

With flu season just starting here that is extremely important. That’s a good article.

What’s with the lack of Quarantine.
Once in the USA, if someone had typhoid or cholera or small pox, then they and everyone around them was quarantined, including medical staff.
Ebola is worse. Our PC culture, complements of Vladimir Lenin, doesn’t want to offend, has made the problem massive. Lenin’s PC culture will kill us.
We need to use the Quarantine, no matter how inconvenient it may be to people.

I think you see the problem.
It is not necessary for “them” to win, only for us to lose, and unless we suddenly grow some wisdom, the ways of bringing that about are numerous and indefinite, to quote another.
If serious opposition were raised against our first multicultural person, we lose. If it is not, we lose.
It is too much to hope that somewhere behind these apparently evil machinations is the desire to push the people to the point they refuse to accept anymore (read Taylor Caldwell’s “The Devil’s Advocate” sometime, for an eerily prescient dystopian depiction of what we are facing, all the way down to a homeland security department).
Instead I think a certain person wakes up every morning wondering why he is still able to do so, and what else he can do to the contemptible people who won’t even stop him.
To quote someone else, mere incompetence would at least occasionally seem to work in our favor.
