The nurses union National Nurses United spoke out today with some serious criticisms of the way the government has been handling the Ebola outbreak. This comes on the day it was revealed a second health care worker who was treating Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital patient Thomas Duncan has contracted Ebola. This nurse is being sent to Emory for treatment.
Union president RoseAnne DeMoro called these past few weeks a nightmare for nurses across the country and said, Weve been told a lot of things that have been wrong. Weve been lied to, in terms of the preparation and the hospitals, and we know this because the nurses are telling us this and the nurses are the ones taking care of the patients.
She said the White House and CDC have ignored their concerns and found it outrageous that the onus is on nurses instead of the government to have the proper protocols in place to protect health care workers.

Everything the government says on everything is a lie.
CNN just reported the Nurses at Texas Presby may WALK OFF THE JOB tonight.
That would explain why they moved the newest patient to Emory.
Nurses = mostly women. Government = mostly parasites that women tend to look to for a feeling of security and safety. When nurses realize government lies and rather than making them safe and secure it endangers them, well, that’s probably pretty earth shattering.
Just wait till this virus hitches a flight to San Francisco. Transmitted by blood and feces? Part of daily bedroom life for most of that city’s population.
And of course then there’s the chance Barry picks it up there and gives it to Moocho.
What about the OTHER patient?
When hasn’t the government lied?
She’s black and Jesse demanded she get the best treatment possible. /s
The real reason may be the nurses walking off the job and I wouldn’t blame them.
The other reason is they know there’s not a hospital in Dallas that can safely treat ebola patients.
This is all about setting the stage for more tax-payer money. Everything the Left does has a political agenda.
"... the onus is on nurses instead of the government to have the proper protocols in place to protect health care workers."
The onus should actually be on the state governments since the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate intrastate healthcare.
And if the states want the feds to be in charge of deadly disease outbreaks, then they can quit sitting on their hands and amend the neglected Constitution to grant the feds the specific power to do so.
I agree with her, but you have to remember that the union is really looking to unionize all nurses in America.
I think they moved her because she is in bad shape. Emory is one of the few places in the country set up to treat a level iv infection.
As for the nurses, I hope they do walk off. I just don’t want any patients (without Ebola) to suffer for it.
Americans need to send a message to that jackass.
Women enjoy being lied to. Ask Hillary.
If she is in that bad of shape, then she was likely contagious on the flight up, with her family, and at the football game they supposedly attended. I hope it is due to the strike.
They should and demand obola stop everyone who has been in the hot zone from coming to America. As far as I know, that hospital is all but shut down anyway so it’s not like they would be endangering patients (more than they have already).
“COULTER: WE’LL TELL YOU HOW DANGEROUS EBOLA IS — AFTER ELECTION!” - on Drudge right now.....
Well, let’s see what candidates this Union supports. Hmmmmm.....Jerry Brown? He’s a Democrat, isn’t he? Gosh, they support Democrats, and this Democrat administration lied to them.
Welcome to the club, Florence Nightingale.
The media would have learned this from any nurse.
But the media wanted to make their fellow union ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters’ look useful.
Oh, I’m sure Obama will finally give the order to stop flights from the affected countries close enough to the election to try and look like a hero to the voters. Everything is political with this POSPOTUS (but that’s stating the obvious).
