I refer you to my comment #162...

And if stopping flights to the USA from hot spots in Africa is racist, then so be it.....spreading diseases that lead to death around the world is irresponsible...period.

I still wonder, I don’t know if we are getting the straight news alright

Probably. There's a rising tide of people who are showing up saying "I think I have Ebola", a lot of these obviously don't (99%), and, depending on where and when, some of them are getting into the media.

This shapeshifter Judge is no Health expert. WHY is he running this show?

In Texas, the position of "County Judge" also has administrative duties: "The Dallas County Judge is also responsible for the county’s disaster and emergency preparedness".

And I agree that he's an unqualified asshat.

I can’t believe the Dallas Mayor would be within earshot of the Dallas County Judge considering he was around Duncan without protective gear.

yes it was kismet and karma etc that the Ebola Man who deliberately brought this plague to our country endangering the people here, was NOT the blood type to receive the good doctor’s blood..

Who says we can’t send medical supplies there, if we forbid commercial fliqhts of passenqers from there? That’s just a stupid excuse to not protect this country.

I would add WHO as a whole to the list. Why keep it? Useless, much much worse than useless.

There are two WHOs. The guys in the field are among the best in the world. The guys on permanent assignment in Geneva? Not so much.

#154 - ah - found this:

"You can't touch anyone," says Purfield, 37. ~ Anne Purfield and Michelle Dynes are epidemiologists at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They spent the past several weeks responding to the Ebola epidemic in the Kenema district of Sierra Leone, and recently returned to Atlanta.

So yeah, contact = transmission here.

Not sure what comment of mine you're referring to.

I first advocated closing the airports on August 8, and it's still a good idea - but it's a waste of time talking about it any more, because unless there is a military coup in the USA, it will not happen.

A 30 day quarantine is achievable and could be politically feasible as well.

Authorities said any hospital in the United States could deal with Ebola and seems they were trying to prove it. I didn’t believe that when they said it, I have had too much experience with hospitals.

I feel like I am in an episode of Twilight Zone, Ebola was discovered in the mid-1970s and we touched on it in different biology classes. I have read articles about it from time to time over the years and when our self-proclaimed experts talk about it I feel like I know more about it than they do. I am sure that isn’t the case, but if they do know and are talking contrary to what they know for political reasons that is chilling. The actual people who discovered and have researched Ebola for 40 years are not being listened to by the self-proclaimed experts.

Every time CDC Director Dr. Tom Frieden speaks all I can think of is that he is giving Baghdad Bob some serious competition.

“Catching Ebola is completely terrifying therefore Islamic terrorists will get into it. They now have a new use for airliners besides blowing them up.”

And the beauty is that terrorists are not immune - THEY WILL DIE TOO!

Anybody that isn’t scared by this is brain dead!

People should be protesting at the white house. Not that that would do a damned thing, but it would be nice to see the American people waking up.

I didn’t vote for this bastard in office! That is my only comfort right now!

“Yesterday, the CDC director allegedly said it was not necessary to cover hair or your shoes in treating a patient” +++++ Was that the same CDC interview that Shepard Smith on Fox commented on...’Well there you have it, nothing to worry about’? (paraphrase)

That does sound like Shepard Smith. Is he really that gullible to believe that malarky?

“Who says we can’t send medical supplies there, if we forbid commercial fliqhts of passenqers from there? That’s just a stupid excuse to not protect this country.”

Exactly.

Aid/relief flights are explicitly exempted from passenger airline regulations. That G3 being used foe flying the ebola patients to this country is a perfect example. Flights like that will not be affected by a travel bay, and neither will relief supplies or military flights.
