CNN) -- Even if you've never been a fan of Glen Campbell, this one's certain to tug at your heartstrings.

The Country Music Hall of Fame member, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2011, is out with the video for the final song he'll ever record -- "I'm Not Gonna Miss You." It was recorded in 2013 with producer Julian Raymond.

"I'm still here but yet I'm gone/ I don't play guitar or sing my songs," the tune begins as it details his struggles with the disease.

You're right. Brian's "I won't travel" breakdown occurred on a flight from L.A. to Houston in December 1964. Glen replaced Brian and remained a Beach Boy until March 1965.

Thanks for the Ed "Big Daddy" Roth note. I don't believe I had ever seen that anywhere.

There were 3 of the Big Daddy albums released (2 car related, one surf, all reissued by Sundazed with performer credits). They were on Capitol records.

Gary Usher produced a lot of “surf” recordings, they may not always be the chart toppers, or best songs, but he was plentiful. And I think Glen Campbell played on many of them.

And while Glen may have done session work with the Champs, I’ve heard ,from people who were there, that Glen was not on Tequila as has been rumored.

Your post made me cry. Prayers for you.

I lost my dear mother in 2007, when she was several weeks shy of 95. She did not have Alzheimer’s, but, during the last 2 years of her life, many TIA’s took her memory of who her many children and grandchildren were.

She died peacefully at home, and all of us got to say good-bye to her. I know she is resting in the Lord, but I sure do miss her.

I don’t know what to say, on one hand it’s beautiful but strange at the same time. “I’m not going to miss you” I assume because he has Alzheimer’s, but isn’t that sort of making fun of himself?

I think it is more of a statement that he understands he is not going to experience missing her because his memory is going to fade and he will die before she is gone. So she will experience the loss of him; he will not experience the loss of her. It is a very personal and sad statement from him to his wife, that he understands what she is going to go through. It sounds almost cold and impersonal to say "I'm not going to miss you" but in reality it is a very personal and sad statement.

That is probably one of the saddest songs I have ever heard.

I really think he was trying to make his wife and loved ones o.k. with what was happening.

Most caretakers are concerned out of their minds about their loved ones.
