More voters in 49 of the nations 50 states plan to use Election Day to voice opposition to President Obama and his policies than those who want to show support, according to a shocking new poll that suggests the president is hurting Democrats this election season.
The president only has support in his birth state of Hawaii, where 27 percent plan to use their vote to show support versus 23 percent who said they will use Election Day as a vote against Obama and his policies, according to the poll published by YouGov.com in conjunction with CBS and the New York Times.
They show a graphic listing of all 50 states and it's colored mostly brown for a vote against Obama.
Leading the list is Idaho, where 65 percent said they will use their vote to protest the president, compared to 11 percent who want to show their support for him.
The poll could be bad news for some embattled Democrats, like Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor. In his state, 54 percent plan to use their midterm vote as a protest of Obama, just 16 percent a nod of support.
It could also help Republican Ed Gillespie in his uphill effort to defeat Virginia Democratic Sen. Mark Warner. In the commonwealth, the ratio is 42 percent protest to 23 percent support.
It’s actually amazing that’s the color they chose.
There's a Hawaii in Kenya, too?
His ALLEGED birth state of Hawaii.......
That 50th. state must be Pennsylvania.
We’re about to show our admittedly flawed Republican Governor the door in favor of a guy who is going to embark on a virtual orgy of taxation as soon as he takes his oath.
Not all that surprising that HI is out of step with the rest of the country. If you’ve ever been there, you know it might as well be another planet. A planet I certainly wouldn’t mind living on, to be sure... Well, except for the Obola support, of course.
Right on, I only wish there were more that felt that way.
This is a ‘skewed and biased’ poll.
7 states as per Barrack E Obolabama apparently were not polled.
Leading the list is Idaho, where 65 percent said they will use their vote to protest the president, compared to 11 percent who want to show their support for him.
Only 65%? I'm confident that percentage will increase by November 4th.
Hey @$$holes in NY, what’s wrong with yous? Oblowme’s cousins took down the World Trade center.
Why is everyone getting so excited. Dollars to donuts that a majority of those that responded “Not A Factor”, especially in blue states are obama voters to ashamed to admit it. When the time comes, they’ll vote for the most liberal person on the ticket, becasue this time, their guy will “get it right”.
Yea, but there is no wave coming...
Wow, even the state with his favorite baseball team, the one that plays in come-in-ski field, seems to be disenfranchised. Whadda shame.
Hmmm, funny how numbers were sounding like nearly a toss up until our President made his speech a couple weeks ago where he said something to the effect of: make no mistake about it, I may not be on the ballot, but all my policies are...
then his press secretary came out the next day saying the president mis-spoke...
Good thing I guess, now at least, people have a reason to go to the polls I guess.
Even here in Cali people seem to be waking up.
“Odd way to phrase that.”
Yeah, especially when he was born in Kenya!
Don’t fret...it won’t happen.
OH WAIT....there are many here on F.R. who say you might be voting for the wrong Republican....maybe even a (gasp) RINO, heaven forbid....they would rather sit home and watch the returns come in on T.V. ....pathetic
When the time comes, theyll vote for the most liberal person on the ticket, becasue this time, their guy will get it right.
...............
Yeah but a lot of these people who say Obama isn’t a factor won’t show up at the polls next month. The people who say they want to show obama support will definitely show up at the polls. there’s a big split between those numbers.
Of course I would like to see how these stats compare with 2010.
