Heads up Nevada. Once the 2nd amendment deniers get the required signatures there will most likely be a similar initiative on the '16 ballot. And plenty of money from out of state nannies. I got taken to task after bringing this up in a letter to the editor and told not to worry because the NRA is going to pump plenty of money in to defeat it. Big difference. The NRA is trying(?) to protect something guaranteed in the BOR while the nannies are trying to infringe on those guarantees.

One can only hope this is one more jolting motivation for Eastern Washington to form a new state. Let the Seattle grunge scum destroy themselves.

So are they going to hire Madame Cleo and the psychic friends to detect if the law is broken when I sell a gun to my buddy for cash without participating in the so-called “universal” background check scheme, when said gun has already been bought, sold and traded dozens of times before and the government has absolutely zero idea who currently owns said gun and no way of knowing when or if a sale took place or if the sale took place before or after the law changes?

This initiative was written in a sloppy manner to allow selective enforcement. The “transfer” of a firearm cold mean anything from handing a gun to your wife to having an acquaintance at the range try to clear a cartridge that is lodged in the chamber. The sloppy language will also make it possible for our liberal judiciary in Washington State to expand this laws tentacles to cause unforeseen difficulties for gun owners in the future.

Taa Daa! Instant criminals. Never mind the “real” criminals out there. They require too much effort. Popping former law abiding citizens is much easier.
