Right now we have a bunch of men TALKING. That's all talking. Talking, discussing, posing questions, what if's? This daily barrage of speculation is not helping anyone is it?
A tiny group of homosexual activists have become part of the war against Christianity. They offer nothing positive but demand to indoctrinate young people into believing homosexuality is good and anyone opposed is hateful.
Homosexuality is an abomination. Corrupting the holy teachings of scripture and the church to try to be politically correct and win the favor of gay activists is simply wrong.
These bishops have promoted and protected homosexual priests and almost destroyed the American Catholic church. The moral and financial burden of promoting and protecting the small network of homosexual priests has been devastating.
The holy and sincere Catholic families only want to provide moral leadership to their children. They have been forced to pay to support these corrupt bishops. They have been forced pay for their lawsuits and the other costs of the homosexual network of priests. They have been have been betrayed.
You can say we are all sinners who have “gifts” but we are supposed to attempt to refrain from sin as opposed to getting the Church to accept our sin.

I believe that Cardinal Muller was wrong in asking that the statements of the individual bishops be made open to the public, because the statements simply become fodder for the media and other ignorant propagandists.

The Catholic church has always said they understand some people have homosexual leanings but the sin was acting on it. That is nothing new.

I always wonder if these people who insist that we change the teaching to accommodate them have a real faith or is it just for show? I mean the teaching is truth. What part of "until death do us part" do they not understand? The annulment process is very thorough in looking for things that may have kept the marriage form being sacramental, barring that I think they must reaffirm the teaching.
Do the people wanting the exception ever really pray about it? Do they seek to understand what it is they are doing? I should think that the issue of the synod should be to minister to these people in order to find understanding of the teaching and healing. Spiritual Communion is a beautiful thing and make them realize that in some places in the world people do not get Communion every Sunday because there are not enough priests.
As for the homosexuals. I see no reason to upend our teaching to cater to a small but vocal minority. If they do not want to conform to our teaching then go else where.
People living in sin as well. We should not have to change our teaching to make you feel better about you sinfulness.

At the root of the attitude that the Church must be “welcoming” and “affirming” to everyone, and must never say anything “hurtful,” is the complete loss of understanding of Original Sin and personal sin.
People (Catholics) have no clue that we are all conceived without grace, and in the absence of grace develop in the womb as wounded creatures. Baptism gives sanctifying grace, but does not of itself undo the damage to the body and the psyche that has already been done.
People similarly simply do not believe in sin. I was pastor of a parish that had had a liberal pastor for many years. The first Lent, TWO PEOPLE came to confession, a mother and teenage daughter.
Yes, people should SEE love in the Church. They should receive love and mercy in many ways. That’s what hospitals, schools, maternity homes, pregnancy aid centers, and other institutions are all about.
But what the propagandists are demanding is the the Church be silent about sin, and the evil effects of sin, and the danger of damnation. In the name of “love,” “affirmation,” “acceptance,” “welcoming,” etc.
It should surprise no one that the most notorious homosexual in the American hierarchy is in Rome actively pushing this counterfeit form of “Catholicism,” in which the reality of sin is a forbidden topic.
