I hear the N100 filters might work, but not N95
I read someone, possibly a crazy freeper posted it, that filters in the N95 are .1 micron or something while ebola is .03 or something
I have no idea what it meant but it sounds hugh and series
A micron is a unit of size. That means Ebola can pass through that mask without being caught in the filter.
Ebola is a strange looking virus, it almost looks like a squid, or jellyfish. Able to “squeeze” through things, perhaps this is how fully protected nurses are becoming infected.
Go for the n100 or p100 if you choose but the theoretical filtration efficiencies for particle sizes are not very applicable to Ebola. You aren't likely to encounter a viable, bare Ebola viron. The virus particle wouldn't 'survive' long if it were unprotected by sputum or similar. I am fully comfortable with my N95s (and do have a few 100s), but don't plan on testing the theory any time soon.
