I used to live on Willacoochie road...surprised little Douglas made the list. I now am back in my home county of Douglas...where high speed chases and thug criminals from Atlanta come to die.

Stpne Mountain is our zipcode. But then what would one expect with Hank Johnson as ones rep? The Bell curve is big at work here. We were burgaled a few years back and many of the neighbors have also had “problems”.

Snuffy, You’re going to LOVE living in Hiawassee! My youngest son went his first two years of college to Young Harris College just 3 miles up the road from you.

While he was there, we fell in love with the mountains and ended up buying some acreage and now we are building our retirement home in the mountains, and will move there full time when it is finished. We settled on a location some ways north of you, but same concept, small mountain town. We have found that our neighbors, for the most part, are God-fearin’, gun-tottin’, self-reliant, and America-lovin’ people.

Your life expectancy in College Park is about 24 hours. LOL!

  Maurice Wheeler Tift?

My great grandfather was Maurice Wheeler Tift. He had a grocery store. I started a computer business but if I had opened a grocery then maybe I could have used some of the old stationery...

Several of the high crime areas, such as East Point, Hapeville, etc., are Inside the Perimeter - i.e. Atlanta.
Most of the rest of them seem to be in south Georgia. We drive through Cordelle and Albany on a regular basis. Need to keep an eye out, I guess.
