An affiliate of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s political advocacy group is putting nearly $1 million into New Hampshire to back Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D) in her reelection bid.

The Council for American Job Growth is launching a 10-day television spot touting Shaheen’s support on veterans issue.

The group has ties to FWD.us, which Zuckerberg founded to advocate for immigration reform and other issues important to the tech industry.

I thought the Koch Bros were the only evil people trying to “buy” elections.

Mark Zuckerberg needs to be brought down a few notches. The dirtbag, who stole the idea for his company from someone else, is throwing it all behind left causes. I hate facebook. I wish others would find alternatives.

“a 10-day television spot touting Shaheen’s support on veterans issue.”

The money quote: “The group has ties to FWD.us, which Zuckerberg founded to advocate for immigration reform”

The donation has nothing to do with veterans’ issues, and everything to do with Shaheen’s support for amnesty.

Suckerberg—this pimple-faced, amnesty-loving, leftist, one percenter—should be forced to allow about 2,000 Mexican/Guatemalan/Salvadoran illiterates to move into his house.

I should close it. I don’t want to support the liberal extremist. I will only review my facebook account about once every three months. I don’t have time or much use for the thing.

The last thing Zuckerberg needs is Scott Brown winning a swing state with a surge amongst non traditional white voters.

I wish you luck closing it down, when I got rid of facebook it took 5 minutes to do it. However they keep it on file for 6 months, and during that 6 months I received daily emails from them begging me to log back in. After that 6 month period I received a phone call from them, how they got my cell number I still don’t know and that was my main reasons for leaving, I did not like their information gathering without my consent and them posting vital info about me like my home address and phone number for public view. Then have me have to go out of my way to make it private again. The second set of 6 months I received regular phone calls from their support staff trying to get me back on. I had to threaten them with a harassment lawsuit to make it end. It was a pain in the rear but worth it overall. Suckerburg is a creep!

Bizarre they harassed you like that. I don’t believe I gave them a phone number they could call.

I wish myspace or some other group would basically copy what facebook is doing and then state they will be non-political. I believe a lot of people would say goodbye to facebook.

The dirtbag, who stole the idea for his company from someone else,

That is so tired. It has been through so many lawsuits that it is a dead issue. Stop! The horse is dead. Zuckerberg is one of the best people ever to grace America. Totally changed the social aspects of America for the better. I will always appreciate him for his innovation. Now he is definitely not a great political supporter but not everyone is perfect.

He did take the idea from someone else and he paid him off for it.

I’ll give him credit for running with it.

You can praise him all you want but it never was his idea from the beginning. He stole it from others.

He was ruthless with how he cheated others. I expect he will be ruthless in how he goes about getting his political will.

Most leaders are ruthless which is why Obama is so poor. He tries to be everyones friend. That is a failure! Zuckerberg is innovative and will be as important to America as the lightbulb was. He is going to be remembered for centuries.

No. There were others already working on social media — like the guys that Zukerberg stole some of his ideas from. We already had myspace. There are others that would have developed social media if there wasn’t a Zuckerberg. It may not of happened as quickly but it would have developed. That is fact.

Actually I tried to do it back in the early 90's with software I wrote. Never could get any $$$$ plus I didn't know it was "social media" back then. lol.

PS I still have the software if anyone has the $$$$

PPS a couple of years later the $$$$ showed up but unfortunately the vulture capitalist forced the software to be an insanely expensive configuration management system.

I wish you had succeeded with it instead of Zuckerberg. I know Zuckerberg would have never been found on FR.

And you make the case that it was coming. It was on the way. He stole ideas from others.

“The infamous Winklevoss twins have been giving Mark Zuckerberg grief ever since Facebook’s launch back in 2004. The pair and a business partner (more on him later) commissioned Mark Zuckerberg to program a social networking site they had founded called ConnectU, but they later alleged in a lawsuit that Zuckerberg ripped off their idea and launched Thefacebook (later, Facebook) instead. After settling with the company for $65 million in cash and stock, the twins claimed that Facebook misled them about the value of the company’s stock. They appealed the settlement all the way up to the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court — just one appeal shy of the Supreme Court — before throwing in the towel in June 2011.”
