Latina Judge Strikes Down TX Voter ID, Blasts History of 'Discrimination'

A Texas-born and raised Latina federal judge, Nelva Gonzalez Ramos, did not just block a Republican-sponsored state voter ID law, she equated it to laws enacted by states after slavery was abolished to ensure blacks could not vote.
"The Court holds that SB 14 creates an unconstitutional burden on the right to vote, has an impermissible discriminatory effect against Hispanics and African-Americans, and was imposed with an unconstitutional discriminatory purpose," Gonzalez Ramos stated in her lengthy ruling issued Thursday. "The Court further holds that SB 14 constitutes an unconstitutional poll tax."
After slaves were freed and black Americans began to win elected office, laws requiring black Americans to pay a fee to vote or to pass literacy tests began to be enacted. Similar tactics were used in the Southwest against Mexican Americans.
Texas' strict voter ID law, passed by the Republican-led Legislature in 2011, only accepts certain forms of photo ID and does not allow other commonly used ones. It does not allow college student photo IDs, for example, but allows gun permits as identification.
The law would have made it extremely difficult for Texas Latinos such as 18-year-old twins Nicole and Victoria Rodriguez to vote, as groups argued in 2013. The young women at the time did not have driver's licenses since their parents could not afford car insurance, yet they had valid Texas birth certificates, high school IDs and Social Security identification.
Still, they would not have been allowed to vote unless they traveled to a state office to get a special photo ID issued by the Department of Public Safety. Voting experts have pointed out the long distances and restricted hours of these state offices,..

The usual remedy would have been for the state to provide free rides to people who wanted the necessary ID’s, while zeroing out the cost. Instead, the Texas GOP had to put out a law that gave this black-robed tyrant every excuse she needed.
One of those “wise” ass Latina La Raza “judges”, huh? America doesn’t need this kind of crap. This country is in too much serious trouble to be putting up with bimbos like this.
I have come to the conclusion the state should simply provide the equipment/personnel to produce the identification onsite at the voting locations. Digital, of course so they can use facial recognition to identify and prosecute anyone who shows up to vote at two different locations.
Striking down the laws that American judges won’t strike down.
Of course it would never happen but I think she should be removed from office and prosecuted for voter fraud. There is not the slightest doubt in my mind that she wants illegals to vote along with dead people. Also those few who do vote legally for such as Obama to vote as many times as possible.
There is no other possible reason for her decision as the arguments she puts forward are nonsense and she knows it.
The solution is simple: Death sentences for voter fraud.
you know, in my state, I have to show my ID and give my name, address, car license just to drop stuff off like wire or circuit boards at the recylers....
and yet, its too much to have an id?>....they all need id for their free health care, and free food and free transportation...
In case of revolution, what judges need judging?
This is not the rule of law; it is rule by law of a tyrannical judiciary bent on legitimizing invasion and fraud to further their ideological agenda.
The Rule of Law? The Will of the People? The democrats (RATS) are pulling out all of the stops to destroy America.
Blacks take care of blacks.
Hispanics take care of Hispanics.
Homosexuals take care of homosexuals.
Wait until muslims are in judgeships and other positions of authority and power.
..... So what disqualified these people from getting a Texas State ID? It's just plain simple .... If you want to vote .... get an ID ..... who is stopping them from voting? Besides ... as I believe the case is here .... if you are illegal ... you are automatically disqualified. Where is the discrimination in all of this?
Very citizen can obtain an I. D.
This I. D. can be matched up against their voter roll information.
I have no idea how this is discriminatory.
Whites, blacks, hispanics, asians, and everyone else can get an I. D. They can all present it when they vote.
This eliminates no one from participation, as long as they produce and I. D.
This local judge will be overturned by Wednesday next week . There is no doubt. It is just like the baby killers. We lost at the local level and decapitated them at the appeal level. Fear not.
