Fukushima have effectively ended any new fission plants ever being built.

You do realize that the earthquake/tsunami that caused Fukushima moved the entire island eight feet closer to the US, right?

IMHO, it would be money better spent to support the efforts of those two inkjet printer engineers in Canada. Thanks Red Badger.

Guess for now we’ll have to settle for “confused trolling”.

The article does not make it clear, but I think that this is unproven technology at best.
++++
My thinking as well. I am not aware that we have ever built a system of any sort at any price that is capable of providing a continuous output that exceeds the energy input.

Did I miss some important development? Has continuous fusion power actually been generated by someone?

The hydrogen bomb is uncontrolled fusion.

The H-bomb is still mostly a fission bomb. Fusion just adds a little zest to make it hotter...

So far nuclear fusion power has remained theoretical because of the costs of building a nuclear fusion reactor reliable and cheap enough to operate.

The day that could be practicable may soon be drawing near.

Just how much longer do you plan on living?

Nice, if true. Kevmo memorial ping.
