They do matter, but there are times to emphasize them and times to emphasize other things. Who knows what the climate will be in 2016, but ‘14 is a time to emphasize other things IMO.

The hot button issues right now are the failure of the bamster (plus minions) and the country moving in a terrible direction (one begetting the other).

Huck may be a phoney (my take), but leaving issues like gay marriage and abortion off the list of "the country is going in the wrong direction" is a mistake that isn't necessary to make.

Unfortunately Huck is taking advantage of that mistake.
