This is probably along the lines of “diagnosing” kids w/ADHD and Aspberger’s Syndrome when there’s not really a problem. Some kids do have serious problems along these lines but it seems to me that most that are put in this category don’t actually have a problem but exhibit similar personality traits. Your kid getting wild once and awhile is not ADHD and a quiet kid is not Aspberger’s.

In fact, per Aspberger’s, when I first read the DSM description they said that most folks with that lead normal lives. So why is it in the DSM? You’re not supposed to “clinicize” personality.

I think it’s because that these two types of behaviors present in kids that are least likely to completely respect authority. With ADHD, it’s obvious when the kid won’t obey an order from a teacher. With Aspberger’s it’s a bit more tough because they wait until the teacher’s not looking.

So, most likely with TSGold, the government is simply looking for a way to identify future subversives without having to use healthcare resources once the kid is so tagged.

Maybe TS stands for “The Stasi”.

The kids are over medicated and being turned to drug addicts imo. Sure there are some that do have ADHD, but you can’t expect a 5 year old to sit down for hours. Sometimes a pat on the behind does wonders

The whole purpose of this is to diagnose 100% of the population with "something." I don't see it as an effort to identify subversives as much as an effort to promote business for various professional/medical practitioners, drug manufacturers, etc. to "treat" all these people.

When a nation has the highest standard of living in the history of mankind, and its capacity to produce things for people far exceeds their ability to consume them, then you have to fabricate all of these maladies and pathologies just to turn them into customers any way you can.
