Airport workers who clean Delta Airlines planes walked off the job Wednesday night in a day-long strike against Ebola-related safety concerns at LaGuardia Airport.
Between 100 to 200 employees of Air Serv, which cleans Delta planes at Terminal D, went on strike at 10 p.m. and will return to work for the Thursday night shift at 6:30 p.m., according to 32BJ Service Employees International Union.

They need hazard pay...$50 an hour.
Lazy union workers.
Any excuse not to work is always a valid excuse.
Are they waiting for hazmat suits? What is a one day walk-off going to solve?
Can’t blame ‘em, but what is one day going to do?
Cover so the govt can suspend flights- without taking blame
In this case, I’d say they have a point.
Can’t blame them this time.
I would just quit if I worked anywhere at an airport.
Did it bring public attention to the problem ?
Let Michelle and Barack take over as flight attendants or even passengers on one of those commercial flights out of Liberia to show they are convinced there’s no danger.
In Hollywood movies, the Pols are the EVIL people trying to end the epidemic, no matter how many they have to kill, while the liberal hero stops them and tries to save lives.
IN REAL LIFE, the liberals are all playing this for everything they can gain from it (Jesse Jackson), while the Pols are paralyzed by political correctness.
They have no point but to be lazy union thugs.
They are not going to catch Ebola by cleaning planes that have only been in domestic service and would not catch Ebola if they were cleaning planes on international routes.
Duncan flew into Dulles then took a “domestic” place to Dallas.
Let’s hope they finally act.
With a incubation period up to 21 days, stopping flights in is the ONLY solution. You can take all of the temperatures you want, but if the virus will not make itself known for up to 3 weeks, what is the EFFING POINT?
“Duncan flew into Dulles then took a domestic place to Dallas.”
Yes, and no one on that plane is at risk of catching Ebola and the people who cleaned that plane were at no risk of catching Ebola.
These union thugs are just looking for a reason not to work or looking to extort more money from their employer.
You nailed it
Obama better address this. Billions of dollars will be lost. Close the damn airports to those 3 or 4 countries.
Good call.....
what is the EFFING POINT?
Allaying the fears of low information voters
Really? We’re going to start this “ you can’t get it from “ stuff again?
