'Why did my uncle die of Ebola while every other patient treated in America has survived?'
Daily Mail ^ | 10/09/2014 | By JOSH GARDNER and MICHAEL ZENNIE and LAURA COLLINS IN DALLAS, TEXAS

The family of Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan are venting their outrage that the late Liberian may not have received the same quality of care leading up to his death Wednesday morning as the other patients treated in the U.S. for the dreaded virus.

'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before. This is the first time,' Duncan's furious nephew Joe Weeks told ABC.

Weeks and others in Duncan's family are calling his treatment 'unfair,' after seeing other patients pulled from the brink of death in government-funded evacuation planes and using life-saving blood transfusions and cutting edge drugs.

Five US citizens have been diagnosed with Ebola and three of them have beaten it. NBC News cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, the latest American victim, arrived at the infectious disease ward at the University of Nebraska Medical Center this week for treatment. A fourth victim, a World Health Organization doctor, is being treated in Atlanta.

All five have been flown to specially designed infectious disease wards in Nebraska or Atlanta for treatment by some of the world's top doctors.

The anger from Duncan's family also stems from what happened before Duncan was seen by doctors but after he fell ill - when the Liberian was initially turned sent home by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - the same hospital that later admitted him.

'What if they had taken him right away? And what if they had been able to get treatment to him earlier,' said Dallas pastor George Mason, a confidante of the family's, according to a CNN report.

While Mason told reporters that Duncan's fiance Louise Troh 'is not seeking to create any kinds of divisions in our community,' she has called for a full review of his medical care.

If I were to guess, and I know this is a long shot, I’m going to go with racism.

Lawsuit bait.

Hospitals will start turning potential uninsured Ebola cases away, out of fear of being sued.

Absolutely - why would YT create the disease to kill black people and then save someone with dark skin?

Oh Shut Up! should be America’s response. That along with “Why did your so called ‘Uncle’ chose to indirectly murder scores of our citizens by knowingly exposing them to a deadly virus? Can you get off you high horse long enough to explain that? I didn’t think so!

The people who survived were known to have contact with an Ebola victim. Duncan would not admit to it. His lie may have cost him his life.

As far as I know, none of them were evacuated in government funded (taxpayer funded) planes, unless it is the cameraman.

“Dr Kent Brantley and Nancy Writebol received the ZMapp ‘miracle drug,’ though officials say it has since run out”

Bovine Excrement...

You can bet your LIFE that all available doses, and any they are making now, is safely secured in a DC vault, to be doled out to the “Important People!”, as defined by Valerie Jarrett.

An uninsured African running from Ebola isn’t going to make that list. And neither are WE.

‘Why did my uncle die of Ebola while every other patient treated in America has survived?’

Not enough cases to create a body of empirical evidence. Anecdotal evidence is proof of nothing.

Well, it was obviously because he was black. Right?

Even though he came here infected.
Even though he lied when he came here.
Even though he lied to the Doctors.
Even though he waited to get treatment.

He was too far gone by the time he got to the hospital. All of the others treated here started their treatments in Africa. They all informed the CDC and public health officials they were coming AHEAD of time.

Jesus himself would have had to pull a cure out of his, ah hat, to cure this guy.

But, OK, you want to go with “it was because he was black?”

“As far as I know, none of them were evacuated in government funded (taxpayer funded) planes,”

Franklin Graham PAID for the evacuation of the two Samaritan people, and paid a MILLION DOLLARS for the doses of ZMAPP they got.

RE: Hospitals will start turning potential uninsured Ebola cases away, out of fear of being sued.

They will be then sued for refusing treatment.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Acusations of racisit medical care to follow. . .3. . .2. . .1. . .

That selfish coward chose to leave knowing he was exposed and an infection risk. . .that is why he left, he knew he would die if he stayed. . .so he put an entire planeload of people in danger. . .then another planeload. . .then another planeload. . .and the hospital and first-responders. . .all because he didn’t want to die. . .

He chose to expose untold thousands to the virus. Selfish coward. (Not supposed to insult the dead, but come on. . .he was more concerned about himself than hundreds—if not thousands—of people that possibly could become infected by him.

Unreal! The sense of entitlement from these foreigners whose relative BROKE THE LAW and put every American at risk of contracting Ebola, with his reckless, selfish behavior, makes me sick.

Perhaps if he had stayed in his own country and been treated right away, he might have survived.

Yep that's where it's going, and abc is more than happy to fan the flames................once again.

Maybe he's not aware we've never HAD ebola here before.
