'Why did my uncle die of Ebola while every other patient treated in America has survived?'
Daily Mail ^ | 10/09/2014 | By JOSH GARDNER and MICHAEL ZENNIE and LAURA COLLINS IN DALLAS, TEXAS

The family of Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan are venting their outrage that the late Liberian may not have received the same quality of care leading up to his death Wednesday morning as the other patients treated in the U.S. for the dreaded virus.

'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before. This is the first time,' Duncan's furious nephew Joe Weeks told ABC.

Weeks and others in Duncan's family are calling his treatment 'unfair,' after seeing other patients pulled from the brink of death in government-funded evacuation planes and using life-saving blood transfusions and cutting edge drugs.

Five US citizens have been diagnosed with Ebola and three of them have beaten it. NBC News cameraman Ashoka Mukpo, the latest American victim, arrived at the infectious disease ward at the University of Nebraska Medical Center this week for treatment. A fourth victim, a World Health Organization doctor, is being treated in Atlanta.

All five have been flown to specially designed infectious disease wards in Nebraska or Atlanta for treatment by some of the world's top doctors.

The anger from Duncan's family also stems from what happened before Duncan was seen by doctors but after he fell ill - when the Liberian was initially turned sent home by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital - the same hospital that later admitted him.

'What if they had taken him right away? And what if they had been able to get treatment to him earlier,' said Dallas pastor George Mason, a confidante of the family's, according to a CNN report.

While Mason told reporters that Duncan's fiance Louise Troh 'is not seeking to create any kinds of divisions in our community,' she has called for a full review of his medical care.

To the family of the dead alien invader: Your uncle was a dishonest ass. He lied his way to America to suck money from the taxpayers for his treatment. You and your family seem to be parasites. Take a leap, you loser.

'No one has died of Ebola in the U.S. before. This is the first time,'

Try to wrap your little pea brain around why your "uncle" has been dubbed Patient Zero. He died 1) because Ebola odds are you're going to die and 2) he LIED!

Duncan waited to long to be seen by a doctor

Duncan could have stayed in Africa and gone to a hospital there

Duncan got on a plane for the US and wasted precious time

He didn’t deserve to get first class treatment because he was nothing but a freeloading skel, and his entire family are freeloading skels.

He didn’t get it here...he brought it with him..

he should have stayed home

or left his Ebola at home..

Have Ebola- will travel- will die

This is how it starts.

Is that boy even related? Calling him ‘uncle’ just because the man impregnated some woman related to the boy doesn’t make him blood.

Look for thousands of ‘uncles’ and ‘ontees’ to pour across our borders.

hey heres a good Q

How many have lived after Ebola at that Dallas hospital ???

Maybe he should have gone to the hospital in Atlanta if he wanted a “white man’s treatment”..

The idiot purposely exposed himself and others to Ebola.

He got what he deserved.

Why is it the automatic assumption in all cases of alleged racism is that the person(s) who made the alleged racist decision(s) is lilly white blonde haired blue eyed nordic?

Hospitals I've been in have been FULL of brown skinned employees.

Shame he didn't die in his own country instead of being permitted to expose so many innocent people in America.

Maybe we should find out who paid for him to come here, and go after them.

They should take that race card and shove it down the throat of this ungrateful puke!

His family are a bunch of free-loaders with expired visas.

Keep talking, punk! We’ll send you and your dozens of ‘aunties’, “uncs”, and “cousins” back to the sh!thole from whence you emerged.

I am not ashamed to say I am glad he died.

His survival would have encouraged thousands - maybe millions - of people who have, or might have, ebola to come here assuming 100% survival rates.

With our Government refusing to stop them, his death is our only current deterrent.

His relatives - all gatrillion of them apparently - should be deported immediately for acting like unAmerican scum. Scum.

I assume they will be paying that hospital bill in FULL, huh? Whatever... scum.

the dead guy was also a “step-father” but he didn’t actually marry the mother..

I think his own mother is here now and one guy who is suppose to be a nephew..(or he might be the nephew of the “girlfriend”

But all those relatives are really the kin of the so called “girlfriend”

IIRC, the company got plenty of bucks from the gov.

That was only recently, like in the past few months. It takes a long time to synthesize the stuff, as right now they're manually injecting individual tobacco leaves to get the right antibodies made.

You need a vaccine...a prevention device not a "possible cure" after spreading the damn thing all over the place.

I don't think a vaccine is crucial in the short term since it's not an airborne virus. Clamp down on travel, fast track manufacture of ZMapp and treat those already sick. The drug ostensibly works; those that have been treated with it lived, even far down the path of infection. The guy in Dallas who didn't get it died.

A vaccine would be nice, but that's probably a ways off.
