I agree. But it never fails that in threads like this someone always says "That's it, Perry just lost my support".
I am always amazed that with Perry's well-documented liberal leanings it would take anything more for any conservative to realize that he isn't what his die-hard supporters herald him as being.
From his praising of Hillary (see my tagline) to his opposing Ted Cruz’s senatorial campaign, to his endorsing Mitch McConnell, the man who has publicly waged war on the TEA Party to advocating for an open border, Rick Perry is not a conservative and should never get anywhere near the White House.
It’s simple. You have the more open leftists backing him to twist the knife from within and stop us from getting our shit together while we argue over Goodhair and you have the people who he led to leftism because they wanted to believe so badly.
Either way, they collectively have seriously damaged conservatism as a whole in doing it.
