Do you approve of media confronting Lois Lerner in her neighborhood? (Reader Poll)

Do unto others? Or, what goes around comes around
(Reader Poll at bottom of post)
Jason Mattera of the Daily Surge recently filmed an unannounced confrontation with former IRS employee Lois Lerner in her own neighborhood.
Lerner fled his camera and tried (unsuccessfully) to seek refuge in a neighbor’s home: ...
This may seem invasive and inappropriate, but as Jason Mattera asks her in so many words, is it any more inappropriate than the way Lerner used her position at the IRS to target average Americans?
In fact, this is a tactic the left has been using for quite a while.
In 2010, busloads of SEIU protesters descended on the private home of a Bank of America executive who they perceived as a political enemy.
The house was empty, except for a teenager who hid in the bathroom fearing for his life.
Nina Easton, who you may know from her writing and media appearances, lived next door and described the scene: ...
I’d really like to know what Legal Insurrection readers think about this. Am I making an unfair comparison? Was Jason Mattera’s ambush of Lois Lerner unfair or is it what Glenn Reynolds describes as punching back twice as hard?
So what do you think. After viewing the video, and considering how it must feel for any controversial public figure (do unto others?) to be confronted where s/he lives, was the questioning of Lerner a good thing?
Poll Open until Noon (Eastern) on Thursday, October 9, 2014:...(Poll at link below)

Even better was her neighbor’s refusal to help her.

I have no problem with media confronting anyone. What made this situation so outrageous was Lerner, dogs in tow, instead of returning to her own home, or just ignoring the camera, sought to force her way into another residence, insisting on access to the garage even, as if she were being pursued by some zombie chainsaw massacre-er. The outrageous moment was not the accosting, but Lerner’s own display of contempt and complete disrespect of others property and privacy. Although not so outrageous considering her mindset while at the IRS and shown us before Congress - that she is one of the ‘elite’ to be catered to.

A citizen should stand outside her house everyday and let her know that we are waiting for the truth, and who she reported to.

Good point! How much wailing went on when that McGuinness creep holed up next door to Sarah and spied on her and her family!

So showing Kenneth Starr (Lewinski etal. vs. Clinton), in 1998 rolling his garbage cans out, holding a cup of Starbucks Coffee is OK.

Works with the low info voters and puts huge pressure on the target. Failure to use this tactic puts our side at a disadvantage. It has more results than you see in public, as proven by decades of lefties using the tactic.

If you are worried about “optics” then you have lost already. While you play by Queensbury Rules they are playing by school yard rules.

Well, you can do that when your conscience is clear.
With Lois, not so much.

All she had to do was “take the 5th”!
I wouldn’t like to be hounded, but this woman has affected all of us. If she doesn’t want to be in the limelight,, then she should stay in her hole.

It’s a reporter asking questions, not someone with a gun threatening her.
I hope a reporter shows up every day to hound her each time she steps out of her house and off her property.
Every day.
Lerner OWES the taxpayers some answers. She feels way too entitled to cooperate. Let her feel some heat. No one is hurting her or threatening her or standing in her way.
To: Louis Foxwell
LOL
They just showed a clip of Lerner being chased down the street..
she runs to a house knocks on the door and tells the owner that she “just wants to come in for a moment”
then the owner and Lerner and the media guy are standing on the owners front lawn and the owner says “but I don’t want her to come in my house” or something like that...
OH NOOOOOOOOOOEZ
Lois is dissed in public...embarrassed, not loved...
A town err street without pity...
:)
To: smoothsailing
Love to see her as well as MANY other gub mint officials hounded EVERY day of their lives,

EXACTLY!
Rolling over and allowing Lerner to abuse her power makes us all look like putzes. Maybe it’s too late for Lois to learn her lesson. However, it’s possible the next IRS head honcho is watching,,,,,and will notice how she is being treated.
Sending a message is not a bad thing, esp when we can do it without harming another person. Lerner has harmed plenty.

Lois Lerner should be hounded in polite society for the rest of her life.
Alternatively, she can appeal to a judge to convict her so that she can repay the debt to society for her illegal acts.

What really would have been precious is if that neighbor would have called the police on poor widdle Lois for trying to force her way into their home!
Have that witch(Lerner) arrested!
