Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price was blunt. He said Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital originally sent Thomas Duncan home three days before he was diagnosed with Ebola because hes African and uninsured.
It is historical what has happened in this community, Price said. If a person who looks like me shows up without any insurance, they dont get the same treatment.

Ever looked around in an urban hospital emergency department like Dallas Presby? There are signs ALL over in multiple languages declaring how you CANNOT be denied care for lack of insurance or funds.
When a person comes to a hospital and says they are sick, they don’t just admit them on a hunch. There HAS to be an evidence-based diagnosis. When this guy got to the hospital, whatever symptoms he was presenting with , and WHATEVER he told the workers about his history, did not add up to an admission.
This is not racism, it’s public healthcare.
I hope this corn row clown isn’t being paid for being a “county commissioner”. Hopefully he’s a volunteer who just donates his time as he believes doctors and hospitals should do. Duncan was not an American citizen. Who the hell did little Corn Row Johnny think was going to pay the millions in medical bills. The U.S. taxpayers? KMA Johnny boy.
I have a question, now that this is a racial case.
What was the melanin content of the person who sent him away from the hospital?
It looks he might have some affinity for the nation of Islam due to the bow tie. Either that or he’s a big Doctor Who fan.

This clown hasn’t heard about Obamacare?
That didn’t take long.
Yup
Yea, cause Calypso Louie done saidt dis virus created to keel nonwhites so why ain’t Mista Price worried to ketch it?
Duncan was sent home because Duncan LIED to the hospital. Had he told him he handled an ebola victim that died I doubt he would have been sent home. Duncan lied and put others at risk of losing their lives. So now we have political vultures sensing an opportunity. Disgusting
I look around and I see signs that say people can't drive more than 65 on the expressway. Those aren't followed very often either.

We don't know what he was presenting with. We don't know whether his examination was cursory or detailed. We do know he was a Liberian national without health insurance. If you want to believe that had nothing to do with the exam he got then so be it.
Well, that was quick.
Now every uninsured african fever is going to get a private (isolation?) room.
“I highly doubt that race was a factor but Ill bet my bottom dollar that lack of insurance certainly was.”
Can’t be, we have obamacare.
They have been sending people home a lot fasting since OBAMACARE was brought in. Ask any Medicare person.
It used to be that if you were elderly and went to the hospital you could count on good care. Now they get you out asap. It’s from Obamacare. It happened to my folks, and they were told flat out by the doc it was because of Obamacare. And they were white.

Scandal: Wealthy Obama Donor Behind Epic Ebola FailLast week, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital revealed in a statement that a procedural flaw in its online health records system led to potentially deadly miscommunication between nurses and doctors. The facility sent Ebola victim Thomas Duncan home despite showing signs of the disease -- only to admit him with worse symptoms three days later.
Here's what I can tell you for sure: Texas Health contracts with Epic Systems for its electronic medical records system -- and the Dallas hospital isn't the only client that has complained about its costly information-sharing flaws and interoperability failures.
He's a foreign national. He doesn't qualify for Obamacare.
Make that was a foreign national.
Yes, it is ... an irresponsible black man from Africa put his own self interest above the health and well being of the hundreds of people he put at risk when he traveled to Dallas after knowing he had been exposed to ebola.
