About 140 barrels were filled with items taken from the unit at the Ivy apartments on Fair Oaks.
Most of the material will be destroyed.

Yeah, well who is checking up on the Rats that fed off of his puke that was washed down the public sewer system?
Insane........
140 barrels? How much crap did they have in that apartment?

All of you hysterical FR drama queens who loudly demand irrational “government action” such as the quarantine of entire cities full of innocent (and uninfected) folks:
read the line above about how a hundred and forty boxes of someone’s personal stuff is going to be DESTROYED. No warrant, no trial, no due process, no nothing. Just seize and burn their sh!t.
How many of you pissing and moaning about unconstitutional “civil forfeiture” would be just A-OK when the government starts seizing and burning stuff on the pretext of preventing the spread of disease — even when that response is a gross over-reaction?
Food for thought, eh?
Be careful what you paranoid germ-chicken-=littles ask for.
You just might get it!
PS: they WILL take your guns and ammo while they’re burning the rest of your sh!t. You OK with that?
Ummm. I thought the CDC earlier said that cleaning items with a 10% bleach solution will kill it, and that boiling things in water will sterilize the items. So why did they remove so much for destruction? Can’t some of those things be rescued? I’m confused.
Wait until they get the bill that their insurance, if they had any, won’t pay. If they aren’t charged, it will be considered a gift by the IRS and taxed at the max gift rate of 48%.
Lose, lose.
They must have taken everything: Sheetrock, baseboards, flooring, ceiling fixtures, toilet, sinks, appliances....................
Nervous Tick got a good set of gauges. I’d like to know what he or she is reading these days.

Your Trillions of Dollars in Taxes at work!
“Most.”
Nice.
So, none of it was contaminated?
Recipients of gifts are not charged tax on those gifts. The donors, if the amount exceeds a threshold limit (around $20,000 per person give-or-take), are taxed on anything that exceeds that threshold.
I think the odds are quite strong that none of it was contaminated to the point of being infectious.
But let’s burn everything they own, just to be safe.
And why stop there? What the hell, let’s burn down their dwelling and all their neighbors’ stuff too. You know — just to be safe.
Because we can’t be *too* safe.
So, you'd be willing to sort it all out for them, then?
Careful, you’re offering the “chickenhawk” argument.
Why, yes. I would be happy to.
I’m curious about this procedure-—and it may have been answered elsewhere.
If a person is diagnosed I can’t imagine this type of thing always taking place. The resources needed would be excessive.
If the contaminated premises were quarantined for a month or so wouldn’t the virus die? That seems much simpler.

EBOLA FEVER SCANNERS INSTALLED IN FIVE TEXAS SCHOOLS

hey pal, If I go to west africa, camp out with a bunch of ebola infected souls, lie to customs as to if I’ve been around anyone with ebola, bring a virus to a continent where it’s not been before, I think at that point I’ll be willing to forfeit my 4th amendment.
