The U.S. Supreme Court cleared the way Monday for legal same-sex marriages in five more states. The court refused to hear cases from the states -- Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin and Indiana -- seeking to keep their same-sex marriage bans in place. Couples in some of those states began applying for marriage licenses just hours after the Supreme Court's decision. CNN affiliate WVEC in Norfolk, Virginia, captured a same-sex couple who rushed to fill out their marriage license documents. Officials in Virginia began issuing same-sex marriage licenses at 1 p.m. Monday. Tony London and Tim Bostic, two plaintiffs in Norfolk, said they were ready to receive their marriage license Monday afternoon.

Oh sure...start these right after lunch, but to carry in DC, we need time to get the community “acclimated” before the ruling can take effect...
They didn't have the guts to openly rule in favor of the Peter Puffers so they let the lower court rulings stand.
All this does is show that the five Justices appointed by Republicans do not have the will, the desire or moral and Constutional fortitude to take a stand for morality in America.

There were no recorded dissents from the Court's refusal to hear the case. Which tells me that Scalia, Alito and Thomas don't want the issue heard, because they are afraid that a majority nof the Court will rule for gay marriage.
This instantly legalizes homosexual marriage in Utah, Virginia, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Indiana. What a mess, just a total FU America from the Supreme Court. They are doing another Roe v Wade but letting lower courts do all the dirty work for them.
Romney must be so proud. He has defined the GOP
with this and his RomneyCARE/DeathCARE/ObamaCARE.
My guess is Roberts is banging Ginsberg and her revenge threat is drop the case or I’ll tell.
I think they didn’t hear it because there weren’t any different opinions from the 3 Federal Courts which called the bans unconstitutional. I think I heard Rush say this. So, its possible they might have heard the case had one court ruled differently. However, they would have upheld it anyway - 5-4.
30 states have already "approved" of same sex marriage.
The Supreme Court did the right thing.

Homosexual marriage is NOTHING but a front for the legalization of pedophiles and their desire for sex with OUR children(they don’t have any).
NAMBLA is starting to gain traction and their will soon be a push for lowering the age of consent.

As someone who has spent a lot of time among the homosexuals( I am in the restaurant business and the homosexuals make up well over 50% of many staffs) I have heard the stories FROM MANY who were raped /taken advantage of by older homosexuals.

Supreme Court adds to disastrous Dred Scott & Roe decisions...adds a new form of slavery to the American people....this time, the black robed judges shackle the God given rights of the citizenry by refusing to acknowledge their right of self-governance.
SCOTUS has permitted unelected lower level black robed fascists to write state law...ignoring the 10th amendment and the 14th amendment.

There are truly much larger fish to fry then spending one more second on an issue impacting less than 1% of the population. If one hand is diverting the other is running free to do as it wishes while Americans continue to be mesmerized by the shiny object.
The states can simply refuse to allow the homo marriages or recognize homo marriages in other states. Period. To hell with the Supremes.
