The practical result of Obama’s immigration policies toward the sources of Ebola, whooping cough and Enterovirus 68 is a life or death threat to America’s children.

Disease the Illegal Aliens Brought

Thursday, October 2, 2014 18:15

(Before It’s News)

By Douglas V. Gibbs

When the Murrieta Immigration Protests in July were in full swing, and we were getting the attention of the media, I had two main talking points to throw out there before the reporters began asking me questions. First, my wife was born in Mexico, and her parents came to the United States legally when she was a child. Second, a part of the reason I got involved with the demonstrations in Murrieta was because my granddaughter, age three, had been diagnosed with hand, foot, and mouth disease, and the doctor made the comment that he was confused about why the formerly nonexistent disease in the Southern California city had suddenly appeared, and the number of cases was spiking.

“Immediately,” I told reporters, “I put two and two together and knew why our kids were getting sick.”

Aside from the new case of Ebola in Texas, disease is spreading through our country, and nobody is reporting where it is coming from. The news media keep calling it a “mysterious virus,” or a virus with an “unclear origin.” The presence of the enterovirus is not a mystery, but the reason it has suddenly sprung up, and is more dangerous than we’ve ever seen before, is.

It is being called Enterovirus 68, and after launching itself through school age children in Missouri, the illness has rapidly spread through the middle United States, and into the northeast where a child in Rhode Island has died from the disease. 42 States have now reported the presence of the disease.

The “mystery virus” causes a serious respiratory illness, and is believed to have played a role in a total of four deaths around the country. In the case of the Rhode Island death, the virus, combined with a bacterial infection, was more than the child’s body could handle.

First identified in the United States in 1962, the enterovirus has created havoc before, partly because its rarity leaves Americans with few natural immune system defenses to fight it off. In the past, the infection would act much like the common cold, but now the illness is much more severe, leading some children to need to be hooked up to oxygen, and even a breathing machine. In the Denver area, the virus is believed to possibly also be linked to muscle weakness, and paralysis.

The vast majority of children with the illness experience mild symptoms, and recover easily.

So why has the enterovirus emerged, and why is it that it did so in our schools? Is this just the unfortunate consequence of natural cycles, and it was time for the virus to make an appearance anyway? Or, was the disease brought into the United States from a place where the health care system is not as advanced as the American system by people who were not properly screened before entering the country?

In a conversation with a doctor I was seeing for therapy on my back recently, a man who immigrated to the United States legally and was encouraged by my participation in the Murrieta protests to stand against illegal immigration, he told me that the world is full of disease. Tuberculosis is present throughout the world, but in America it is all but gone. However, with the illegal aliens crossing the border comes disease. Tuberculosis. Hand, foot and mouth. Scabies. And the list goes on and on.

Is the appearance of these diseases at the same time the number of illegal aliens, particularly children from many points south of the border, coming across the border has increased drastically just a coincidence?

I don’t believe in coincidences.

Strangely, few Republicans seem to have grasped the public policy and political implications of the Dallas and DC Ebola patients’ arrival and the Enterovirus 68 epidemic.

Strange as it may be it is no surprise.

The GOP had better step the hell up and soon.

What makes anyone think that Republican candidates such as McConnell and Cochran will close the borders when the Chamber of Amnesty gave millions to their campaigns?

The next two elections should be the easiest elections Republicans ever face. But what should be and what is are two different things. Republicans have no concept of winning. Absolutely none.

A lot of hysteria and some of it is politically driven, but the facts is that everyday hundreds if not thousands of people deplane at Dulles after direct flights from West Africa.

“””Inexplicably, North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis is the only Republican Senate candidate we can find who has grasped that protecting Americans, and especially American children, from the looming health disaster of Obama’s lawless immigration policies is an important issue in the 2014 midterm election. Tillis demanded on Thursday a nationwide travel ban from the three hardest-hit Ebola hotspots: Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.”””

Do not hold your breath waiting for the Republicans to get tough re illegals—

The reason Republican Candidate Thom Tillis is getting tough is that he is currently behind in the polls. Until now Tillis has been a liberal RINO candidate.

If there ever was a more winning issue for the Republicans, this is it. The Dems know that this is a loser issue for them.

Christopher Hatley’s book, written in 2009, is an excellent treatise on the subject. He foresaw the health dangers even then, as well as national security issues, drug cartels, etc.

A Revelation of Vulnerability
By Charles C. Brooks on August 2, 2009

“Provide for the Common Defence,” caught me totally off-guard. What I assumed would be a simple treatise on the deficiencies of U.S. border security, was instead a multi-faceted revelation of errors, threats, misconceptions, vulnerabilities, and predictions of things to come, good or bad, depending upon our future plans and actions. The book presented not only a revelation but a solution as well, and not just any solution, but a well-thought-out, researched, and supported solution that I believe would be well received by a majority of Americans, should it be proposed.
The author, Christopher Hatley, came well-equipped to handle the task of creating this book, as a West Point graduate, a three-decade veteran of the U.S. Army, and a trainer of military decision-making processes. From reading his book, it became apparent that he has a deep-seated knowledge of the content, meanings, and principles within our nation’s Constitution, supporting documents, and legislative system. The book reflects Hatley’s intuitive insight into the problems at hand, along with his investigative analysis and strategies based on military, political, economic, diplomatic, and philosophical observations and findings.
The book touches on many topics related to or affected by border security, revealing shocking facts and figures that will quickly remove any sense of safety and security that you once had, and removing all thoughts that we as a nation are strong and protected on all sides. I was shocked to discover the massive size, sophistication, and corruptive support of the Mexican drug cartels. I was surprised to find that the cartels are using mini-submarines, that are virtually undetectable, to carry 12 to 15 tons of narcotics up to 2000 miles through Caribbean waters into the U.S. I was also surprised to find that the cartels now have advanced regular army military units and advanced hardware, and have attempted to purchase Russian helicopters and Tango-class submarines.
Christopher Hatley travelled to both sides of the border towns along the California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas borders to observe and analyze the security practices being used there. His findings were deeply disturbing to me, making me want to rush through the book to get to his suggested solutions. He writes about human trafficking of Mexican nationals into the U.S. and trafficking of human slaves into both the U.S and into Mexico and beyond for labor and prostitution. He writes about the Mexican border as a gateway for terrorists into the U.S. and methods they use to gain entrance. He writes about infectious diseases entering the U.S. and the threats they impose.
Most importantly, Hatley talks about what is being done and not being done about border security, and talks about why there is a difficulty in reaching a consensus of opinion and a proactive approach to a solution. He offers up a well-thought-out, researched and documented solution that I believe should be on the desk right now of our nation’s political and military leaders. This book is filled with the wisdom that our nation needs to survive, and we owe it to ourselves to make sure that it is read.
The next time Christopher Hatley runs for any office, I will surely vote for him, and would encourage citizens of Texas and of any other state in the U.S., who want to put people with his knowledge and credentials in office, to do the same.
A final word to the wise - read this book and encourage others to do the same. We all owe it to our families and our heirs.

About the Author

Lt.Col. (U.S. Army, ret.) Christopher Hatley is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Command and General Staff College and the Air Warfare Center. A twenty-seven-year veteran of the United States Army, he taught military decision-making processes to officers and enlisted personnel at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the Field Artillery School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and the Air Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. A former candidate for office in the Texas State House of Representatives, Lt.Col. Hatley is an advocate for border policy reform and conservative politics and plans to run for office again. He currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas.

Republicans aren’t really campaigning hard on anything substantive, they know its not going to matter...

They are riding high on the wave of the conservative base giving them one more shot at gaining ground, numbers, in D.C., and some of the state houses...

There is going to be no change at all after November as far as approaches to issues, and nothing will get done of any real significance...

It is only delaying the inevitable...

We are going down the path further and farther into a post Constitutional society, one without real respect for the Rule of Law, and any law needed, will only benefit the political power this government has over the population and further isolate the Christian and Tea Party conservative base...

Doesn’t leave us with much left really...

Maybe our principles and means to back that up will suffice, but I do not see a lot of people standing up at that point...Maybe quality (in our numbers) of purpose and Virtue will win the day at that point...
