"... Laurens deputies got a non-attorney deputy magistrate to sign off on a search warrant..."

Apparently, this raid was conducted by the Laurens County Sheriff's Office, so the Laurens County Sheriff is responsible for this atrocity. As County Sheriff is an elected office, due to this incident one would hope this sheriff will never be re-elected, but, then "a people deserve the government they have," so it's up to the people of Laurens County to fire this man.

It’s not just the criminally insane magistrate at fault here. If the magistrate had given written permission to set up a 50 caliber machine gun on a highway and fire at suspected speeders, and the cops followed through, would you only blame the magistrate.

No way Jose.

There are many public employees fattening at the public trough who should be summarily fired and ex-pensioned from this incident. Starting with the criminally retarded cops who kicked down the door and moving up the chain of command.
