The head of the CDC said Saturday that imposing a travel ban between the U.S. and West African countries dealing with the Ebola virus could worsen the outbreak that has killed over 3,000 people in five countries.
"Though we might wish we can seal ourselves off from the world, there are Americans who have the right of return and many other people that have the right to enter this country," Dr. Thomas Frieden told a press conference. "We're not going to be able to get to zero risk no matter what we do unless we control the outbreak in West Africa."

Stick to Doctoring ...Puppet man
Stupid enough to elect Obama — twice.
Part of the problem is that we have a Center for Disease Control in the first place.
What we need is a Center for Disease Eradication.
What non-citizen HAS THE RIGHT to enter this country?
Yep, in talking about “rights” he’s way out of his field. We don’t want to hear his political views.
+10! A most excellent comment.
This guy keeps saying that we’re not going to be able to lower the risk to zero, and then using that as justification to do nothing, Someone in the press pool needs to say, “yes, we can’t lower the risk to zero, but doctor, if it substantially LOWERS the risk, shouldn’t we be doing it?”
This Friedtart probably thinks illegals are disenfranchised and thinks ALL people have the right whether foreign or domestic. He is out of the same liberal mold as Obola.
No alien has a “right” to enter this country.
The CDC has been hopelessly politicized since the Clinton era when it decided gun control was a national health issue.
This PC nitwit would have said Typhoid Mary had a right go shopping and visit friends and move around as much as anyone else.
same liberal mentality they have with “managing” the radical islam terrorits. Maybe they will create a Department of Terrorist Management instead of the Terrorist Elimination Center.
Also treating it as either/or—either we take protective steps here or we help to dampen down the outbreak in Africa. The two really don’t necessarily have much to do with each other.
They already have one. They just haven't changed the name from Department of Homeland Security yet.
FWIW, I have not met one real world person, liberal or otherwise, who believes it is wise to continue to allow ebola infected people to come here. Like ISIS, this corrupt admin will change course only when told to by the polls.
Well Obama was elected twice.
What the devil has politics to do with disease control? I don’t trust the CDC any farther than I can throw them. They’ve become thoroughly politicized.
