The Pentagon is sending as many as 1,000 more troops to Africa to help fight the Ebola virus.

The troops are being sent on top of the 3,000 President Obama has already ordered to help efforts in West Africa.

The plague serves the double task of reducing the size of the military and obviating the need for ‘death panels’ at home. It’s a win-win!

ebola isn’t spreading fast enough in the States for King Obama. He must have more saturation.

Spends tons of money to send troops on a non-military mission rather than try to protect people at home.

Got it.

Forgive me if these clowns in DC don't make me feel confident.

Ditto here. Whether the subject is illegals invading across our southern border, the spectacularly inept airstrike campaign against ISIS, or the mishandling of the Ebola outbreak, it's quite obvious this regime is completely incapable of accomplishing anything that benefits this country.

“But we can’t stop anyone coming in to the country.”

We have become the dependent nation of can’t. Maybe we need something like this.

Louise and her family couldn’t stay put for 24 hours. Multiply that by 100, 1000, 10,000 and we’ll be needing those troops back home. Of course, they’ll be bringing it back with them so maybe not.

I believe they are being sent over there to help the Liberian military pen people into death camps aka quarantine slums

all in the name of humanitarian work of course

imagine the lives and welfare of 4000 US troops in a 3rd world country where even touching a native can lead to death, and where African terrorists are aching (so to speak) to infect them using human biobombs

How many of our service men and women will get Ebola due to inadequate protection?

Remember Obama in 2009?...

“I’m busy and [Speaker] Nancy [Pelosi]’s busy with our mop cleaning up somebody else’s mess — we don’t want somebody sitting back saying, you’re not holding the mop the right way.” [Applause] “Why don’t you grab a mop, why don’t you help clean up. [Then they tell me] You’re not mopping fast enough. That’s a socialist mop. [Tells Republicans] Grab a mop — let’s get to work.”

Witness today, Obama’s socialist mop spreading around the Ebola virus, Islamic Jihad and government dependency.

What happens if a number of the troops contract ebola?

Remember that this is not an impossibility because they will, sooner or later, come in physical contact with infected persons.

Some may be Al Qaeda agents trying to spread the disease. A mere handshake may suffice for transmission.

Where will the troops go to recuperate or die?

Just as in war, there are deaths and casualties.

So will there be in regard to soldiers who become infected.

Somebody stop him.

This is meant as a kick in the teeth to all who are politely asking for a moratorium on West African flights, immigrants and visitors. And it’s probably meant to expose as many US troops as possible to the disease.

When ISIS attacks, we won’t even have a boot that can remain upright on the ground.

This is only another--albeit really extreme example--of the complete indifference to the actual Constitutional functions of our Federal Government, and those who work for our Federal Government, which permeates Washington, the mass media & the Academies in which the mass media have been led astray. Once again, the contemporary reality makes the efforts of the most extreme satirist look like exercises in understatement.

Did any American enlist to this purpose--any American?

Oh great.

We now have 4,000 American soldiers at risk.

BLUF if trained medical professionals can contract Ebola in spite of all their training and experience what are the odds of several novice soldiers from committing the same errors?

BTW the successful experimental Ebola treatment drug ZMapp is zero balance on the shelves. The manufacturer might have some limited treatment packs available in 6 to 7 months.

I find it very interesting that the biological source of ZMapp is a variant of the tobacco plant grown in North Carolina.

Can someone explain exactly what our troops are doing there? I understand concepts of humanitarian aid and all that, but is the military really set up to handle such a task?

I can't explain that but I think I CAN explain why he needs 1,000 more. You see -- Obama sent 3,000 troops into an ebola-infected hellhole. Over time many will come into possible contact with those with ebola or may get some sort of flu or something and show possible symptoms of ebola. So what do they do? Let them all just run free? I would think they would need to quarantine a lot of them over time. Thus he might need 1,000 more to replace those that get sick or become quarantined? Just my wild ass guess. Is this crazy or what? :-)
