Rand Paul is pro abortion.
Let me guess, these are the same Obama tools who gave advice on sub-prime banking, right?
I'll tell you, these highly educated elites sure is smart, and the rest of us bumpkins is real dumb-like.
You anticipate the Army biological units and specialists deciding to load 3,000 troops on a troop ship and let them all get Ebola for some strange reason?
A Senator wants to convince the public of that?
Where is the U.N.? The left has been telling us for years how superior they are, especially at handling situations like this- So where are they?
What is silly about what he said?
If he is so bright why is so often wrong about things and flailing?
Why would the Army be using a Navy ship to transport all of the various military personnel making up the 3,000 involved in Africa, from all kinds of units, and branches of the military, and all at once, and why would they be doing it in a manner that could disable or wipe out all of them?
Went to check on it. He said that the morning after pill is different than the RU486 pill.
I have no problem with that part of it. That is accurate.
But, the morning after pill does prevent implantation. (RU486 causes already implanted fetus to be expelled...to die.)
Apparently, Paul believes life begins at implantation rather than conception/joining of sperm/egg. At that point he allows for no abortion except life of mother. He has no exception for rape or incest.
I actually held that position for years. What changed my mind? I don’t know if you’ll like this or not, neither of us being Roman Catholic, but the Catholic teaching that both contraception and euthanasia have humans pretending they can make as good decisions about life and death as can God.
I wanted to be consistent.
All that said, (1) we should try to change Paul’s mind about life at conception rather than implantation; and (2) this has absolutely nothing to do with Ebola and the government lying to us. Paul thinks the government is being dishonest, and so do I.
Rand Paul isn’t always right, for sure. But when he is, he doesn’t let political correctness get in the way of expressing himself. It’s refreshing.
Actually, I think the Army does use transport ships, but mostly for large equipment. The soldiers they usually fly home.
The point, though, isn’t about the ship...it’s about the government being dishonest regarding Ebola. Did you read it?
No, I would hope the military would be smarter than that, and would quarantine its members before letting them on a ship or allowing them to return home.
But what Paul is saying is don't underestimate it.
And don't go to the ER alone. You might just find yourself in a quarantine ward.
No wonder he gets it wrong on abortion, gay marriage, and conservatism, he is an idiot.
That is a very ignorant statement, perhaps he got it from Dr. Howard Dean.
Obama said just 2 weeks ago in a speech that ebola wouldn’t come to the US.
My fear is martial law and the suspension of the Constitution. I’ve got a conspiracy streak in me, but Obama is a congenital liar, and Fast & Furious proves they run clandestine operations against our own people and our rights. So expecting betrayal from Obama is the sane way to look at things.
The imperious leader would be delighted.
He is against abortion with the sole exception of life of the mother.
He’s not solid on gay marriage at all....hasn’t really committed.
Conservatism: besides the above 2, which is he wrong on?
Reminds me of the rumor of the Black Clap, from when I was in Vietnam. Supposedly, if you caught this particularly vicious strain of gonorrhea, your parents were notified you were MIA, and you spent the rest of your life exiled to a ship somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Anyone else remember this?
Maybe you should do research on the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 which killed 675,000 Americans and 50 million world wide.
It was US soldiers that brought the disease back home.
Perhaps you should do some research of the United States Army and the military in biological agents, and warfare and contaminated zones, and infectious diseases.
I remember it. But it was a cell in someplace America that required a secret quarantine for life.
