I have a question for you. Do you feel comfortable in your beliefs about Ebola to knowingly sit next to someone infected or have one of your family members around an infected person?
To: Rummyfan
The chances of a U.S. epidemic are incredibly low, he said. Not even a smidgen?

I have a question for you. Do you feel comfortable in your beliefs about Ebola to knowingly sit next to someone infected or have one of your family members around an infected person? If you're asking me whether I would voluntarily sit next to someone with ebola on a flight of course I wouldn't. It's a risk. But since it's impossible to know with 100% certainty who has ebola and who doesn't before they're symptomatic, I'm going to weigh the risks and not blidy refuse to sit next to everyone under the assumption that there's a chance, however small, that they (1) have ebola and (2) will infect me. Moreover, people who have ebola but aren't yet symptomatic aren't infectious.

That “moment” (line) of being “symptomatic” from “non-symptomatic” may not be so easily discernible.

Direct flights from Liberia to the United States: 0
Direct flights from Sierra Leone to the United States: 0.
Direct flights from Guinea to the United States: 0.
Five years ago I took a direct flight from Dakar, Senegal to Atlanta. Senegal is in West Africa. I assume that route still exists.

Why is Congress getting a pass on this? If the Prez won’t protect us, Congress is supposed to step in. We need an all-out melt-the-phones, -jam-the web campaign to make Congress do something, anything for the people.

There are two direct flights between Dakar and the United States, but the good news is that there are no active cases of ebola in Senegal. Senegal had one case of ebola, but the outbreak was immediately contained and there were zero additional infections.

Here's evidence of airborne transmission of ebola from infected piglets to macaques (monkeys, used as surrogates for humans):
http://www.nature.com/srep/2012/121115/srep00811/full/srep00811.html
If, indeed, ebola can be transmitted via proximity to an infected person, this is going to become evident by the end of the month. And, if it becomes evident, all bets are off as to panic.
The only silver lining lurking out there, assuming an epidemic here in the States, is the almost certain defeat of any Democrat candidate who's gone on video defending Obama's handling of this. And that silver lining will arrive with a terrible, terrible price.

And they are laughing, why? Because we are LETTING THEM kill us. And without even so much as a mere hair-pulling fight. Wow. Just wow.
Can we guess that the Sheeple will just march “themselves” into those fema camps? Well....whoever is left after the Ebola plague, that is.

“The White House said Wednesday it will not impose travel restrictions or introduce new airport screenings to prevent additional cases of Ebola from entering the United States. “
Why, of course not. What would be the point given Prez Obola’s open borders policy anyway?

Here’s an irrefutable fact that proves the worth of a travel ban. If such a ban had been in effect when Ebola patient Duncan flew to the US, he would not have brought Ebola to the US. He would have been stopped.
