White House: No Ebola travel restrictions
The Hill ^ | 2 Oct 2014 | Elise Viebeck

The White House said Wednesday it will not impose travel restrictions or introduce new airport screenings to prevent additional cases of Ebola from entering the United States.

Spokesman Josh Earnest said that current anti-Ebola measures, which include screenings in West African airports and observation of passengers in the United States, will be sufficient to prevent the “wide spread” of the virus.

The chances of a U.S. epidemic are “incredibly low,” he said.

“The reason for that is that it is not possible to transmit Ebola through the air. … The only way that an individual can contract Ebola is by coming into contact with the bodily fluids of someone who is exhibiting symptoms.”

The comments were made after federal health officials confirmed that a man with Ebola traveled to the United States from Liberia on Sept. 20. He is now being treated in isolation in a Dallas hospital as public health workers trace his contacts.

Earnest said President Obama has “strong confidence” in the man’s medical care and the measures currently in place to prevent Ebola’s spread.

For so many years and on so many issues liberal elites in politics and the press have been able to insulate themselves from the consequences of liberal policies. Whether it be taxes, health care, economic down turns, or some other issue of a money/choice matter.

This one is different. There was a bit of an edge to the reports of this yesterday as the MSM reported on the issue. They realize that their walls can be breached and the consequences of the breach can be death. That realization will cost Obie the services of his enablers in the press and Hollywood. Especially after one of the liberal privileged elites or their loved ones become infected with a virus brought upon US as an unintended but very predictable consequence of Prince Obie's reckless policies.

Much as I can’t stand ODimwit ... I’ve got no real problem with this. While Ebola is dangerous, it is just not that contagious. It is pretty much body fluids only and you are only contagious if you are sick. It is very easily contained. It is spreading in Africa due to the horrible conditions.

This isn’t talking about no screening, etc it is that their won’t be extra screening. I think it would be a waste of cash (yeah, I know, they don’t mind wasting our cash).

One count of manslaughter for every person who dies from ebola in the USA. That’s what this regime needs to get. The blood is on their hands.

A 17-hour flight is plenty of time to come down with symptoms.

What they’re really telling us is that the horse has already left the barn.

One count of manslaughter for every American person who dies - from ANY of the biological weapons they are deliberately letting into this country. Enterovirus, TB, plague, ebola...

By now the airlines should know they are dead meat if they allow these people to fly. Lawsuits begging to be filed.

While Ebola is dangerous, it is just not that contagious.

Tell that to the doctors who have been infected even with all the protective suits.

A 17-hour flight is plenty of time to come down with symptoms. And they have no clue when this is or isn’t contagious. They’re basing their statements on past versions of ebola but this strain has acted differently than past versions.

Fly to Liberia, lick dead bodies, and come back to your job at Burger King.

What could possibly go wrong?

Well, if 0bama's spokes-idiot says we're safe, that's good enough for me </sarc>
Then again, is the </sarc> tag really necessary?

The game of Ebola Roulette continues...

*click* spin *click* spin *click* spin…BANG!

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping!

Bring Out Your Dead

We’re gonna need

a bigger cart!

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
