Thompson: Associate of Dallas Ebola patient under close monitoring ( second case )
WFAA ^ | October 1, 2014 | Marjorie Owens

Posted on 10/01/2014 8:28:24 AM PDT by george76

DALLAS — Due to close contact with a patient diagnosed with the Ebola virus, a second person is under the close monitoring of health officials as a possible second patient, said the director of Dallas County's health department Wednesday morning in an interview with WFAA.

Zachary Thompson, the director of Dallas County Health and Human Services, says all those who've been in close contact with the diagnosed patient are being monitored as a precaution. However, Thompson pointed to one person in particular as a potential second case.

"Let me be real frank to the Dallas County residents, the fact that we have one confirmed case, there may be another case that is a close associate with this particular patient,"

...

The patient left Liberia on September 19 and arrived in Dallas to visit relatives the following day, said CDC director Tom Frieden. On September 26, he sought treatment at the hospital after becoming ill but was sent home with a prescription for antibiotics. Two days later, he was admitted with more critical symptoms, after requiring an ambulance ride to the hospital.

"I have no doubt that we'll stop this in its tracks in the U.S.," Frieden said. "But I also have no doubt that — as long as the outbreak continues in Africa — we need to be on our guard."

Local health officials say the patient was in contact with several children before he was hospitalized. Thompson says each of those children have been kept home and are under precautionary monitoring.

...

The three paramedics who transported the patient are temporarily off duty and among those under observation.

There hasn’t been a day go by since Obama that people in this country can go the whole day without some type of crisis, outrage, manipulation or fear.

I can’t even fathom why anyone would want to continue this.

We can’t even get this Kenyan jackass’s face and mouth off our radio and TV for a few freakin’ hours.

Dallas Ebola Victim Likely Acquired His Infection During Flight - YouTube

www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW_jvTSNvxo Uploaded by polyglot

Check out CDC timeline for median time first symptoms appear 5.5 days from time of contraction of Ebola virus.

Do the math given the time of the Dallas patient's flight itinerary from Africa to U.S., and presentation of first symptoms. This guy in video uses timeline & CDC's own data to demonstrate greater than 50% likelihood Dallas Ebola patient was infected during flight to U.S., meaning there is at least one more (and likely more than one more - given 17 1/2 hour flight) infected person on flight.

With air travel from Africa to the US having gone on for 60 years or so, I have a hard time believing this is the first person with Ebola ever on US soil. This IS, however, the first time such hysteria has been raised about it. I’m thinking creating the hysteria, rather than the disease itself, is the motivating factor here. But to what end?

Create a crisis and then don’t let it go to waste.

Patient Zero
Friday September 19 - left Liberia
Friday September 26 - sought treatment
Sunday September 28 - hospitalized
Patient One, the "close associate"
Wednesday October 1 - potential second case
Given the incubation period Patient Zero must have been infectious during the week between his entering the U.S. and his seeking treatment.

I wonder if anyone has considered the fact that Patient One is African. For the last two weeks most of the folks he was hanging out with are likely Black. For now, it is easy to avoid those that are likely exposed...

"Local health officials say the patient was in contact with several children before he was hospitalized"

What a coincidence this would happen in one of the most conservative states (Texas) before a major election, and not Maryland or New Jersey.

You're absolutely right. I vaguely recollect earlier on during "The Regime" when outrages occurred, oh, perhaps only 2 or 3 per week. Now, it is mere hours, multiple outrages per day.

Oh well, I guess there is outrage inflation, when in order to get an outrage off the front pages, you need a bigger outrage to take its place.

As much as the “experts” assure the public the virus hasn’t changed they are clearly lying and know better. Ask any second year Med Student. Viruses attenuate with passage. Remember Louis Pastuer? A couple decades ago Ebola couldn’t spread. It was TOO deadly. In hours a victim was on his ass sick and couldn’t spread the illness. In 72 hours the victim was dead. Look at the current numbers. The illness HAS changed. While it has become less virulent it is now MORE deadly.

Maybe Obola’s Oct. surprise may be to cancel all elections since Texas had to call off elections due to this disease...

Cloward & Piven strategy by the regime at taking down a world superpower (U.S.) requires to 'OVERWHELM' on all levels.

Take the State Dept. for example. These broads (Harf & Psaki) were put there to OVERWHELM WITH EMBARRASSMENT and are succeeding at embarrassing America.
