...there are two little facts about Ebola which are buried in the commotion and nobody will share. More importantly, there is nothing that we can do to stop these problems.
The first is that Ebola is not spread by humans alone. It is also spread by small mammals. Bats are commonly cited as a likely host for the disease. It is unclear how many other animals serve as vectors. There's no reason to disbelieve that Ebola cannot be transmitted from a human, either alive or dead, back into animals. We've sent troops to Africa to help quarantine people, but corralling infected animals may prove far more difficult. As these animals migrate and move, they can potentially infect other people, far outside of quarantine zones.
Yet even this fear is a little far-fetched. There are no documented cases of human to animal transmission, so this fact that should keep us awake at night.
Instead, the fact that should keep us worried is that Ebola is a sexually transmitted disease.
According to the World Health Organization fact sheet on Ebola, the disease can be transmitted via semen for up to seven weeks following cure. That means a person may recover from the disease, but if they engage in sexual relations too soon after recovery, they may infect others.
Americans treat celibacy as an anachronism. Immerse yourself in American pop culture for only a few minutes and this will become obvious. Some African people also behave promiscuously, as a matter of culture. Different cultures have different sexual mores.
Promiscuous communities are far more likely to perpetuate and spread the disease, even if it has allegedly been "eradicated" in one area. Give people a chance to spread the disease through their relations and suddenly new infections will appear where there were none before.

Humans and small mammals are live things. What about inanimate things as spreaders as well.
Here, I'm thinking aircraft - seats, tables, ventilation systems... I'm thinking ambulances, and its accouterments... elevators, parking meters, money, and so on and so forth. What if a postal carrier gets infected?
This is the second step of Obama declaring biological warfare on America. The first was Obama care, the second was the introduction of illegals with NO vetting and the third was no quarantine of known places where Ebola has been flourishing. When the HELL are we throwing this bastard out???
And Obummer is making sure it spreads. “Come on all you foreign invaders, come ride the Fed plane! We’ll take you to where ever you want to go!” As if things can’t get an worse, now Obummer is working on bringing us the AIDS of the 21st century and just in time for his Obamacare! “Hi I have ebola, can I be treated?” “Sorry sir we don’t accept that insurance plan. Have fun dying”.
Third Step. Four more to come.
With air travel from Africa to the US having gone on for 60 years or so, I have a hard time believing this is the first person with ebola ever on US soil. This IS, however, the first time such hysteria has been raised about it. I’m thinking creating the hysteria, rather than the disease itself, is the motivating factor here. But to what end?
It’s a horrible horrible thing. Everybody on this board knew it was going to lead to this when Obama first took interest in Ebola.
Agenda 21
Read ‘Hot Zone’:

It’s been here before. It was a strain that was likely airborne. However it wasn’t lethal to humans, just monkeys.
Most ebola outbreaks are in remote rural areas in poor villages. No one involved has the money for a ride to the next big city much plane fare. This outbreak is different from that typical outbreak in a number of ways.
And we are now 4 weeks away from the midterms and Republicans are doing jack about it. Any of them speaking out against all this? Taking a stand against illegals and amnesty? nope.
Iknow that’s not a real picture, but what is it?
Ebola detected! Everyone commence freaking out!
Ebola is a sexually transmitted disease.
Muslims.....be afraid. Be very afraid..................
Looks like some refugees in the back of a C-17 to me.
Those were in poorer, rural areas and when those who were in the village either were sick and died or recovered (or bugged out before getting sick), the outbreaks died out.
This time, though, it is in urban areas, and in a group of people who can afford international air travel.
The other, more limited outbreaks likely did not have any infected people travel to the US.
As far as hysteria goes, no, but there is a solid attempt going on to assess the risk involved.
It is great--the disease kills up to 90% of those who get it--and greater, certainly, with proximity to infected people.
That distance has closed significantly with Ebola showing up in American Emergency Rooms.
Looks disturbingly like a real picture to me...
I know that can’t be a real picture....please God.
Nah. We can always panic later.
Our nation has been struck dumb and numb with an arrogant insouciance. Our leadership have had their collective wisdom stripped from them! I believe we have fallen into God’s judgment!
Seems like a real picture, but the picture doesn’t tell much of a story. We have no idea where it was taken, when it was taken, or what the context was. Be careful making assumptions just because someone posted it on this thread.
