Ebola Flies Into Dallas
The Daily Caller ^ | September 30, 2014 | Neil Munro

An Ebola victim has flown in from Liberia and has now been placed in an isolation ward at a Dallas hospital.

“This individual left Liberia on the 19th of September, arrived in the U.S. on the 20th of September [and] had no symptoms when departing Liberia or when entering this country,” said Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Officials said the man left the disease-stricken country of Liberia to visit with friends in the United States. They did not say if the man left Liberia for the United States because he had contacted the disease, which takes up to 21 days to produce symptoms.

The victim began showing symptoms by the Sept. 24, and was admitted on Sept. 28 to the hospital.

That three-day period with symptoms is critical because Ebola can only be transmitted when the victim is having obvious flu-like symptoms.

Frieden indicated the individual could have passed the disease to Americans after he began showing symptoms. Officials are now checking if anyone he met during this period begin to show symptoms, so they can be isolated and treated.

A handful of family members and community members were in contact with the victim, said Friedan.

Symptoms show up within 22 days of an infection. If no one reports symptoms by Oct. 20, the patient will not have passed the disease to an American.

So far, at least 3,000 people have died, and thousands more have been infected with Ebola.

Eighteen people were recently infected with Ebola by one person in Nigeria. But that outbreak has been contained, said officials.

The deadly disease spread via fluids, such as blood and sweat. It does not spread as easily as the flu, which can be carried by coughs from a victim to a new host.

The arrival of disease carrier in the United States is likely to spur public pressure for tighter observation of travelers arriving from Liberia and nearby countries.

“Ok, time to freeze travel from country where there is an Ebola outbreak,” said a tweet from Kathleen McKinley, a columnist for the Houston Chronicle and Newsbusters.

“Keep in mind. This is person flew on a plane full of people to here,” she said.

Currently, airline officials in Africa check passengers for flu-like symptoms before they are allowed onboard any aircraft, federal officials said.

There is one, fairly well documented, problem with depending on African officials to screen passengers exiting an Ebola infected area - bribery.

You can get almost anything you want with the right amount of money passed to the correct official. The harder it is to get something the greater the cost. So, if you had the money for a round-trip international airline ticket and wanted to leave an Ebola infected area what would you spend to ensure you did leave?

Public pressure???? That should have been the instant government response Day One.

why would you buy a roundtrip ticket if you were running to the US for medical care?

But suggesting that the people who deal with this stuff are guessing and making it up is not helpful and will contribute to any panic.

Would you be the first to stand in front of this patient and let him cough on you?

Have they done human experiments where subjects have been deliberately exposed to cough expectorants? I doubt it. It is anecdotal. How did all these doctors end up getting it if it is so hard to transmit?

A relative of the 1st guy is now being tested for Ebola. Sounds like it’s starting to spread.

Of course not. I am educated and I understand how its transmitted.

Really, your assumptions are really ridiculous.

Human trials on intentionally exposing people to this virus would not only be immoral, it would be criminal.

I think you need to do some research on what happens to the body when Ebola Zaire hits. Let me give you the highlights:

Explosive vomiting. Like fire hose vomiting. Including the lining of your stomach.
Explosive diarrhea. Like a fire hose. First the cells that line your intestines come out. Then eventually your intestines will dissolve. When those come out, it literally turns you inside out. It is called sloughing. When your intestines come out, detached, it is called sleeving.

You do not just get up and walk to the toilet. You are so weak you just spray it out at first, and then you lose all control and it just kind of drains out. Mostly because the virus attacks all of the soft tissues.

When the virus attacks your brain, you lose the ability to move communicate and your eyes become fixed. This zombie state lasts a couple of days. During this time your blood vessels start to collapse. You bleed from every opening in your body. A simple touch of the skin can cause a hemorrhage.

In the end, you are just a melting bag of fluid supported by your bones.

Then you die.

The death is messy. The entire process gets your waste and your blood every where. Into everything.

And the virus is virulent. Virus particles counting in the millions will fit into the period at the end of the sentence. It takes less than ten of those viron to kill you.

So, how did that medical staff get infected? Maybe a drop of blood on a sock. Maybe a drop of waste on a sneaker. An invisible particle will kill dozens.

So, before you start making proclamations about how people get this and why they get it, do some research. Understand how this works.

Stop making silly statements.

I was in the Dallas airport for an hour on September 21 (the day after this guy was there).

Ebola-guy probably stayed in the international arrivals and customs area. I just had a brief layover changing gates in a different part of the airport.

Nevertheless, I couldn’t help but re-trace my steps.

This is another reason this virus will spread far and wide in US in all likelihood.... the misinformation campaign by the Obama Administration. Doctor on local radio here just admitted that it was ‘theoretically’ possible for virus to spread from surfaces with infected body fluids..including sweat or sneeze/cough droplets...if touched by someone, then wiped in eyes or mouth. The government officials and media, by ignoring this fact, will cause deaths and infection rates to increase here. People need real information right now. Not unicorns and rainbows.

Remember..everything Obama touches turns to crap. This will be no different.

The game of Ebola Roulette continues...

Eeeee-bolllll-aaaaaa ping!

Bring Out Your Dead

We’re gonna need

a bigger cart!

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Can we assume the politically correct idiots 'protecting' the country have NOT bothered to isolate the people he stayed with?

I find this to be highly suspicious. If you have Ebola and you cough and spittle etc flies through the air and is inducted into another person then of course they can get it.

Those two statements are incongruous. If it is so virulent as you say, then cough or sneeze particles which enter your eyes or mouth or nose would be enough to kill an army.

Don't say it cannot be spread by coughing or sneezing unless you are willing to get coughed or sneezed on by a patient. Plus, if you are correct, any cough or sneeze would contain billions of particles of virus contained in the blood droplets these people would be secreting through their mouths and noses.

So, before you start making proclamations about how people get this and why they get it, do some research. Understand how this works. Stop making silly statements.

Speak for yourself.

i don’t understand your logic: if I say it’s spread by sneezing, I should be sneezed upon? How does that make any sense?

Next you will say the NWO and the Tri-late are behind this.

This type of thinking will get you infected and dead. Stick your head back in the ground. And pray it will go over you. It’s just as effective as any sense you are presenting.

I would suggest a few books, but I am sure they were written by those involved in the conspiracy.

The viral particles in a cough or sneeze are enough to infect an army. If you coughed right into their face or onto an open sore.

Why would I need to get infected to prove that to you?

Last time I checked, everyone in the world has a face. Therefore if you are within a few feet of an Ebola victim and they sneeze or cough in your direction you can get this virus.

So quit trying to say you can't get it from airborne particles. You can.

How far can the particles from a sneeze travel? If you are within that distance of an Ebola patient, then you can get it from a sneeze.

Are you trying to say it is impossible to get it through coughing or sneezing or are you in agreement that it is possible?

If you say it is impossible, then you should be willing to get within sneezing distance of an Ebola patient without wearing a hazmat suit. Are you that sure of your position?

Ebola Flies Into Dallas

If two more conservative States are hit can we assume this is the democrat's "October Surprise".... Democrat won't even stop flights out of Africa for a few weeks ... Time we need to discover if this can be spread easily on an airplane...
