He’s not another Washington insider.
There will never be a perfect presidential candidate. But he’s the least flawed of them.

We COULD do worse, and we HAVE. I’m OK with Pence.

So what? They are all politicians.
There are very few I respect... and fewer still I’d seriously vote for.

“No Labels” is a disastrous parliamentarian power consolidation scam represented by fine “republicans” like John Huntsman and mostly democrats.

Yeah, can’t have everything.
As I pointed out, if we’re going to wait for the perfect candidate, we might as well wait for Godot.
Ain’t gonna happen.

I do have high standards of public servants. I’m not expecting them to be Jesus.
No one alive could ever be that good.

Years back I was all for Mike Pence but he pretty much vanished from the scene for too long.

Pence is definitely worthy of consideration. For me, Jeb Bush (amnesty and common core) is out as are Rubio and Ryan unless they do a full about face on amnesty.

I guess he's more conservative than Pawlenty or Daniels last time, but Midwestern governors have trouble in presidential politics:
Charisma deficit. Not telegenic enough. Have probably had to make compromises somewhere that will be used against them.

Any candidate who supports amnesty, which will destroy this country with the stroke of a pen, should not be supported period.

The No Labels thing is enough for me to say no.
Among their plans to "make congress work".
Bipartisan Leadership Committee Congressional party leaders should form a bipartisan congressional leadership committee to discuss legislative agendas and substantive solutions.
Empower the Sensible Majority Allow a bipartisan majority of members to override a leader or committee chairs refusal to bring a bill to the floor.
Bipartisan Seating At all joint meetings or sessions of Congress, each member should be seated next to at least one member of the other party.
No negative campaigns against incumbents
Among their plans to make the presidency work.
Make the parties pay for presidential fundraising.
Reduce the number of appointees subject to senate confirmation.
Expanded presidential power to reorganize.
Fast track legislative authority for the president.

Thanks for the information. That’s the most important fact about a constitutional conservative. We’ve been stung so many times.
