It may well come soon to many of us in this nation where we are told to denounce Jesus Christ or die. So do we lie then also? A teenager in Colorado was told to denounce Jesus Christ. A group of teenage boys were on a killing rampage at her school. She lost her life but she did not deny her faith nor her Saviors name. Both Corey Boon and the girl in Colorado made the right choices. But I don't see how Corey Boon's situation relates to the situation the bakers were in. Their lives weren't even in danger.
They were asked to bake a cake for an unholy in your face "GOD" ceremony we're right you're wrong situation commonly called same sex marriage.
The acceptance of homosexuality is sadly being taught in schools, managing to get laws past by our governments, and last but not least the false doctrine has worked it's way into churches by blind shepherds leading their flocks to wolves.
How serious a sin is it considered? Well Lot was not a righteous man yet when the demented homosexuals came pounding on his door demanding his guest whom he did not know were angels of GOD he offered his daughters instead. It was that big a deal. But keep reading what happened after they were rescued from Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot's daughters got him drunk and slept with him. Not even that horrid act caused the punishment Sodom & Gomorrah received.
Preachers are so intimidate now by the Lavender Mafia they are afraid to speak out. Yet the Disciples and Apostles who knew Christ and were chosen by Him paid with their very lives just for preaching His Word. John was spared and died a natural death. Why? Who really knows that's GOD's business as Christ told them. We may have a clue in the fact one of Christ last deeds of obedience and mercy was to make provision for Mary His earthly mother as she was left on her own otherwise. Christ said to Mary "Behold thy son" meaning and to John "Behold thy mother" and John then took her in to his home.
Many Christians today yes myself included want the easy way out. The Bible points to quite the opposite. The bakery owners are being persecuted for following what GOD placed on their hearts. Had they baked the cake when conscience said do otherwise that is disobedience to GOD it is sin.
Homosexuality has gained ground due to faint hearted Christians wanting an easy out rather than standing up for GOD's Word. It has become accepted in now fallen away churches. "KIDS" in some cases are the ones paying the price as they become either raped or recruited even by their very shepherds. This is no small issue to play games about.
A marriage ceremony is a Christian/Jewish rite. As such government in any capacity has no business forcing any persons or their business to violate their conscience before GOD on that matter by forcing serving Homosexual abominations before GOD. I won't call it a wedding because The Bible defines wedding and marriage.
Stands must be taken. If not now when? Today a cake. Tomorrow a forced homosexual clergy. Look at Canada. See where allowing government to dictate ones conscience has become. You can be jailed for preaching against homosexuality. How did it happen? One small step at a time left unchallenged.
Again if the homosexual couple had simply asked for a cake the bakers could have in good conscience before GOD sold them cake. It became a moral issue when the cake was to be made a wedding cake. One passage of scripture is not mentioned much anymore especially in this age.

Yeouch! Christians and again I'm including myself have become complacent and timid. The results since our national turning away from GOD have been staggering in cost. We received a reprieve when in 1980 the nation did stop and consider GOD's Word. As a result we were blessed with a wise man as our leader. The nation came out of crisis and prospered. Then in walked the devil and once again deception became the norm. This battle can not afford having timid soldiers afraid too loose their earthly comforts. Preachers don't preach it anymore. It's been put up on a shelf and sheep become uncomfortable hearing it even mentioned.
Look at what Christians have surrendered to government look at the issues kids today face vs those of us born in the 1950's and before faced. It took over 50 years and lots of steps to accomplish but now the throttle is full speed ahead for the cliffs. Satan's favorite tool Political Correctness is at the controls for one huge soon to come train wreck. The longer it goes, the more speed, the harder the crash. This is not the nation of my youth. Many churches are no longer the churches of my youth. WAKE UP AMERICA! You too can and will be judged by GOD ALMIGHTY unless you repent.

Though we are not of this world we do function within it, and we are definitely doing so on satan’s turf....which is why Jesus warns us to “Be On Guard” against the enemy.
I do think that when you publicly claim to be a Christian place of business you have put a bulls-eye there for every kook out there.....
We do not have tabs on the business world as Christians...we participate according to it's rules....like it or not.

It doesn’t matter today...though there was a time when the freedom to decline such a request was possible. The law now says you cannot discriminate against homosexuals in your business...and we are told by Jesus to abide by the laws of the land.
Clearly the court has determined they broke that law, and they did....and this had nothing to do with whatever the owners had “in their hearts”...this was a matter of law.
Jesus warned us these things would come...do some think they are exempt and not expect consequnces when they take a stand?..no matter how they might otherwise think it should turn out.
The owners of a ‘public’ business were asked ‘to bake a cake’....and in the eyes of the law that is all they were asked to do...they said no...and the ball went from there.

Christians in China face at a minimum long prison time just for stepping away from how the government says they must worship if they can at all. Yet they see the price vs the eternal reward as worth it. We in this nation look for monetary conveniences and comforts rather than The Bible. I do understand your posts...but again I think the owners of the business had other options they could of resorted to rather than risk their source of income, which I'm certain they didn't give ample consideration to.
I didn't follow this very much because the handwriting was clearly on the wall what the outcome would be. We do live in a society 'now' where our laws will and do accommodate minorities....and that unfairly as we're seeing. It's ALL working upside down and Christians need to consider this when they choose to take a stand.....it most likely will not be favorable for them when, the courts are involved ,because our courts are no longer "under God" and our country pretty much turned away from God.
Until there's a turning back to God this slide is going to continue

Well at the least a heads up for sure. I would of been very cautious if I was advertising my business ‘as a Christian business’ and two homosexuals walked in and made themselves known.

On the point of the cake food has always by tradition been covered by Jewish/Christian religious belief. The wedding feast is still a part of Christianity and prophecy and Christ will hold one when the day comes. Baking a cake isn't tyranny. Being threatened with civil laws for not baking one because ones religious beliefs is violated in doing so is the tyranny and such acts lead to the revolt against the king and forming of this nation. I think the term is incrementalism a means of taking something to a desired goal by small steps rather than one large one which would trigger massive revolt. Years ago probably about 10 there was a thread called The Politics of Negative Incrementalism which covered a lot of this. Those older threads went down the tubes and can't be retrieved any longer.

Anything the owners could have done short of baking the homosexuals a fully decorated and it better be perfect Homosexual Themed cake themselves was going to bring the same results. Your bottom line seems to be the almighty dollar rather than Almighty GOD. They have a lot more ethics, a lot more devotion to the beliefs and principles, that you obviously do by your post. If I owned a business of hospitality such as a bed and breakfast a heterosexual couples conduct would be acceptable I would assume they are married unless obvious otherwise like them saying this is my boy friend or girlfriend type remarks. Now by the same standard if two same sex persons walked in looking like and acting like homosexuals I would also assume they are trying to act married but homosexual marriage is impossible because GOD not government defines true marriage.
Not so long ago actually in my lifetime many Mom & Pop ran motels would ask man and woman if they were married before accepting payment. My wife's grandmother ran a boarding house and she didn't put up with it. She didn't put up with men sneaking in a date either. That was the United States of America in the 1960's.
Homosexuals are now able to blackmail business owners into anything they want. Do you allow yourself to be blackmailed? I won't. Today a cake.
