And Turkey, which is aiding ISIS, is in NATO. I can't imagine what's going to happen when the empowered and armed Kurds want their own nation, which would include parts of Iraq, Turkey, and Syria. All those entangling alliances and loyalties do seem to have the potential for war to spread.

If Congress is supposed to be able to declare war and pay for it, why can’t they arm the Kurds?

The administration seems to want ISIS/L to set up its caliphate and kill the Kurds and Christians. Not that hard to figure out, really.

Actually Obama slipped up in his latest 60 Minutes interview. In his attempt to show outrage at ISIS he referred to them as people who "kill people who worship a different God."

We are always told that Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christians do, the God of Abraham (Ibrahim to them--they claim that the Arabs are descended from Ishmael).
