I live fairly close to Ft. Rucker. This marine helo came over pretty low. Probably headed to Eglin or Pensacola but I bet it came from Ft. Rucker.

Hiya Lauren and thanks for tonight's Canteen!
I served with some great pilots from Rucker in Vietnam. One great warrant officer saved us from a nasty crash. I live today because of his great training at Rucker, so I'm kinda loving on the Rucker pilots :-)

I remember my Aunt mentioning that her Son got a job there, the one in Alabama.
In her words “He got on at Camp Rooker”.

Ft. Rucker - the best place I ever lived.I agree.
I lived there from Feb of '70 to Feb of '73, then again from March of '74 until Oct of '76.
Great place to raise a family.
I have returned many times to visit, most recently to attend a grad ceremony of the grandson of a good friend.
He finished RW training in June.

Believe it or not there is a trailer park in Daleville, AL which has an interesting history.
Dan Quayle, George Bush Jr., and Al Gore have all lived there.
There is a shotgun house near Ozark, AL in which two U.S. Congressmen have lived.
