As the old adage goes, all politics is local. For federal employees, that means electing men and women at the local level who will fight for you in Washington.
These past few years have seen unprecedented attacks on government employees our pay, benefits, retirement security, and even our jobs have been targeted by certain factions within Congress.
We need to get back to a time when public servants were honored and respected. And that means electing leaders in Congress who will fight with us, not against us.
AFGE has gone state by state to identify candidates for House and Senate races who will fight on your behalf to protect your pay and your jobs. The full list is available at www.afge.org/endorsements.
AFGEs endorsements are based on the voting records and statements of each candidate. The political party of each candidate was not a deciding factor we are endorsing Republicans as well as Democrats, and even an Independent.
The candidates who have earned AFGEs backing will support the work that you and your brothers and sisters do on behalf of citizens in this country and around the world. They understand that a strong civil service means a strong economy and an even stronger country.
If we want our elected officials to stand for us, then we need to stand for the right candidates November 4th.
"certain factions within Congress"?
Oh c'mom American Federation of Government Employees(AFGE),you use to say Tea Party, harry reid and pelosi did too,now no one will say it,wimps.
Outlaw public employee unions
It’s nice of them to give us a state by state list of Who Not to Vote For.
Yes it is,no surprises in my State, the usual left wing big government candidates are endorsed.
These lists read like an ex-convict reunion program!
“Fight for you” — in other words, make sure government will always grow, you’ll have to “work” maybe 20 hours for 40 hours pay, get a cushy retirement at 55 that the private sector can only dream of, treat all private sector “customers” as though they had Ebola, produce nothing of any value, extort your pay from taxpayers at gunpoint, and complain all you want about how miserable your “job” is.
The endorsements are almost literally, Democrats across the board.
That just can’t be possible,AFGE said “The political party of each candidate was not a deciding factor”
I agree. And close BLM while they are at it.
Yep, that’s the only way. It’s why I like a Perry/Walker ticket.
Wyoming voters prove to be the smartest in the union as there is NOT ONE SINGLE CANDIDATE they endorse in that great state.
Good for Wyoming.
pinging for later - thanks for posting!
Funny, the only Democrat in NYS NOT endorsed by this bunch is a de Blasio clone in NYC running against a guy facing trial on 20 charges. What do they know? :-)
