But I will say that August is probably not the best time of year to visit.
berdie I don’t know what part of Texas you live in, but Houston has had a great summer. It has not been over 100 in fact I can only recall a temp of 98 for our highest. We have had enough rain that everything is green and fall weather is already here. Will be having lows in the low 60’s next week. :)

There might be some disagreement from some, but agreement from others...I try to be agreeable.
August would be a PRIME time for the libs to come and visit...let them get a "taste" and hightail it back to their liberal craphole!
Don't get me wrong, I like TX, a lot. I met lots of good folks, ate lots of great food and drank some really good beer in my visits...I'm just not into that kind of heat with 90%+ humidity...it would take me years to acclimate, if I ever did.
