You are an idiot. I have commanded soldiers in combat and have placed their bodies in body bags. I have wiped their blood from my hands, from my face, and had it caked on my uniform for days thereafter. Don’t you dare insinuate that politics has anything to do with what happens in combat.

What exactly did you personally know about it. Tell me about your experiences. I will understand the lingo and the specifics and I will be happy to tell you of my own history.

I think that you are a scum sucking phony. Prove me wrong.

We have a rather substantial geographic advantage, every seat that was up when Obama was first elected is up again.

And Obama every day proves himself not only the enemy of Freedom but the enemy of success and property with his unprecedentedly bad track Record. Even the blind and and indoctrinated know Obama has led us down a very dark and self-destructive path.

Unfortunately Obama has been quite successful in motivating the corrupt k-street ‘republicans’ and their leadership into an insane war upon their own base. Thus crippling the only viable opposition if not in elections then in results.

Money does indeed rule Washington just as it rules our party leadership and Obama’s lawless regime has taken control of that money thou Washington’s endless tentrials of power. With that he has also taken control of our party leadership.

There is but one party in Washington D.C. and they are a monster that will not tolerate threats to their position at any cost.

It’s Reuters agitprop to get you to stay home in November so the Dems can keep the Senate. Don’t fall for it.

I don’t see the problem. The GOP-E got all the ‘electable’ candidates it wanted. No need for those pesky conservatives.

On to “victory”!

Thank you for your service and I am truly sorry that we are at odds. I cannot imagine what you have been through, and would never disparage your service.

I am not a combat vet, but I am in the military, have deployed under arms and have orders to head back soon. I am a USAF REMF and do not pretend that my position is combat. That’s one of the reasons I do not generally bring up military service. I am not ashamed of my service or position, but I am not out assaulting the enemy or taking fire.

That said, I have lost friends, and my son is a Navy corpsman who deploys with an MEU, so I have some skin in the game. For me, working at Command level means the biggest danger is blue on green, so arming more “moderate” Muslims bothers me.

I am not insinuating that politics affects the military, I am insisting.

Who is (or is supposed to) make the decision to go to war (or not)? Who name is on the activation orders? Who funds our CED orders?

Who sends money to train Syrian “moderates”? Who sets the ROEs? When you call out of the CAOC or EOC, who sits on the other side of that DRSN red phone?

Why is the JAG reviewing live feeds when our C-130s gunners see squirters fleeing and they can’t shoot without an ok? Why didn’t the AFRICOM commander order his troops to assist in Libya when our ambassador was killed?

Why do they spend more money on the SARC program than the chapel? Who says we can’t have bibles in billeting or on the missing man’s table? Why can’t we carry our own weapons on any military base, even though it’s our job and many of us live on post? Who appoints the COCOM CCs, the JCS, the SECDEF and who approves them? These things don’t affect us?

I would love to see a chain of command that was apolitical, but that doesn’t exist. And congressional actions, or inactions, do impact the military.

It is not just politics. Would you want a traitor on your team in the field? Why would you want one in a civilian position?

Your service has been long and honorable. You volunteered twice, the second time after about a 9 year break in service.

But throwing our honored combat dead up in my face to bolster your argument about what a particular political party ought to do to advance the political cause of conservatism is something that I will not let pass. Once we don the uniform, we follow the orders of our Commander in Chief and chain of command. We do our duty. As citizens and veterans, we exercise our rights to disagree with our government and advance our political preferences.

I despise Obama and all of his ilk. I have not trusted politicians since all of them let us down in Vietnam. Those still in uniform must do their duty, I will try my best to argue for them in the political arena without invoking their sacrifice and memory to score cheap points.

Good night

Methinks many are underestimating the power of data mining in campaign strategies - something the Left may have a much better handle on. Elections aren’t about winning (say) a state, it’s about winning the one-mile-wide band around urban areas where the GOP would stand a good chance, but succumbs to targeted advertising swaying undecided votes left, and persuading unswayable right-wing votes to stay home. You don’t have to win a majority of votes, as 95% of voters are already decided - you just have to sway 2.5%+1 of voters to vote for you or stay home (or vote third party).

We certainly do not see eye to eye, but I do understand your viewpoint. I cannot take back my words, but I do apologize for any insult or disrespect. I’m tired and my Irish is used up.

It’s a damned shame that we have come to the point in our country where honorable men must argue over the action of dishonorable politicians.

God bless.

Thanks for keeping up the good fight against these ‘We don’t need no Stinkin’ Senate’ types.

They’re still stuck on the primary battlefield, and don’t see the value in handing the Senate to Ted Cruz.

I ignore them, skip right past their comments.

So you are voting FOR HARRY REID as majority leader. Thank you, we need more people to have a temper tantrum like a 2 year old.

My candidate for state senator in my district lost, but am I going to have a temper tantrum? No, I'm going to vote for the winner against the Liberal Dem. Of course, I'm an adult.

And the socialists/communists say thank-you.

Oh please. Even now the Republican leadership is lowering expectations about what they'll do if they take the Senate in 2014.

And then there’s John McCain saying what will happen if the Republicans win the Senate: “I will work very hard to go back to 60 votes,” said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who boldly predicts a Republican Senate would process Obama’s nominees “more rapidly than [Democrats] do today.”

And as for the House: John Boehner: ‘Very Few’ Republicans Will Oppose Me

So tell me again how much better off we'll be voting for the Uniparty RINOcrats.
