I always tried to catch his short, firebrand speeches on the House floor. He could really sock it to the hypocritical, high-spending, double-standard-ites in his own party.
I missed him when he disappeared from the political stage.....and he's probably pulling St. Peter's toupee as we speak.

Born into a working-class, Catholic family in Youngstown, Ohio
Traficant was injured in an accident at his farm on September 23, 2014. A tractor he was driving into a pole barn flipped over and trapped him underneath. Traficant was taken to Salem Regional Hospital in Salem, Ohio, then airlifted to St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown. As of the evening of September 24, his wife described him as "sedated and not doing well."[34]

It wasn’t hair ... it was a toupee.
He was an honest-to-goodness, blue-collar, patriotic, socially conservative Democrat. He ended up in prison fir violating a corruption statute for which he was selectively prosecuted (he had congressional staffers do some personal work for him), but I’d take him as a Representative over just about any Democrat serving today.
