I’ve been “alone’ for 20 years now....and I could have chosen otherwise many times...friends and relations could not understand why I hadn’t been “snatched up” yet as each year passed.....obvious it isn’t about that for me..and others.

There is something quite significant about being alone that you can not know until you are there for a period of time. You learn “how” to be alone...which is really another venture in life if you let it be so....you can remain open to the possibility of marrying again...some choose to...others find they are happy to remain on their own. It is a choice each and every time you may have the option otherwise....and that includes when one looses their mate or threat of.

So don’t even dread the time should it come...you might go first in fact!......once you mourn the loss God has another plan and HE is never finished with us finding that.

I think of a woman back in my home church who at 67 yrs. lost her husband.....after a year or so she joined up with Wycliff Bible Translators as a missionary. Her testimony, while i was just a young mother, I have never forgotten..and knew then...no matter what happens in life at what age...there is a way and a purpose further until God says otherwise.

I'm pretty sure I will kick the bucket first, every women on my wife side of the family lives well into their late 90's...

If by God's will, I outlive her, everyday will be a new one open to whatever God has anointed it to be...
